means sold on Gildon as a full time starter. He got beat like a drum in the rose bowl, and Tennessee was lighting him up last year before we put cliff in to "lock shite down."
Gildon did not get beat like a drum in the tOSU game. Pryor made a lot of plays with his feet and secondaries can't lock down forever. Any secondary is going to get beat. The play that went for TD was perfect placement by Pryor one on one.
Gildon had a very impressive spring and is one of our best athletes. I think our fanbase is way too hard on dbs. TJIII got ridiculed for giving up plays to luck in '09 that were dimes. The next year he came back and was all pac-10 and is in an NFL camp.

Thanks, Bisonduck. No way to know how either team will actually perform. Because I am an LSU partisan, I would really like to see a serious beat down on UO, but do not think it very likely.
This team, if it is nearly as talented as the pundits and Rantards claim, would walk over the Ducks, but it seems likely that poor QB play will be the tragic downfall of LSU this year. Hope I am wrong.
I enjoyed your posts and thank you.

I would take Oregon's QB over our recent starter in a NY minute.

If Darron Thomas spent the last 3 years playing for Gary Crowton, while Jordan Jefferson had been playing for Chip Kelly, you might feel differently.

1) the offensive line starts returning in '09 were 20. This year we return 54. The 20 returning starts ranked 118 with only 2 returning fewer. Furthermore, these were split between 4 players, namely Asper (1), Kaiser (11), Thran (4), Holmes (4). This year we have York/Asper with 20+ and Weems with 8 and Cody 1. This is a much different scenario.
So you have 2 guys with serious starting experience (45 of your 54 starts) on the OL and one player that has a little over half a season. You are still basically bringing in 2 completely green players on top of that and that is a huge issue.
That's not to say they won't be a solid OL, but very few OLs gel immediately when replacing 2 starters with players with little to no starting experience.
I still think this game is a toss up though, because your offense will be better than LSU's.

Here's the disconnect:
Could it be that Oregon really has been successful in recent years replacing Senior players. They haven't been bitten in the arse to the extent that we have, so they don't see it as the big deal we see it as.
We'll see soon enough.

LSUPimp makes a good point.
Something of note, Oregon has been incredibly lucky on the injury front since a snakebitten 2007 season (think Oregon lost something crazy like 7 starters over the course of the year to season-ending knee injuries).
Last season, for instance, Oregon didn't have one major season-ending injury to a key player, which was pivotal in our run to the BCS Championship. Fingers crossed this luck continues.

Maybe, but what is your main point?

I've had a lot of fun chatting with many teams from different boards but honestly I've never seen this kind arrogance and complete disrespect.

Question?
Is the game indoors at the King Jones Dome?
70 degrees and no humidity.
Weathere will not be a factor.
