They are going to be a tough opponent. Pachall is the REAL DEAL and that defense is like an SEC defense every year.

They played more youngsters than anyone last year and should be very good this year.

I am worried about it to be honest, especially if we don't get Hill back. Fresh legs at RB in the 4th quarter could be the difference maker.

Gary Patterson is as good of defensive coach as there is. They have been recruiting better, putting more money in their program, and bring back Pachall, who is a damn solid QB (look at his stats). They return basically everyone from last year in a year they played more youngsters than anyone and they add Pachall. It hurts they lost that DE, but that defense won't be a normal Big 12 D.

If Les left, I would hope our #1, #2, and #3 candidate would be Gary Patterson.

They're going to be without their best defensive player.

they could, and they should have a really good team next year. It will be a good test early

They lost 6 games last year.... i love the media. TCU will win the big 12 and LSU will finish 4th in the sec west. Is the big 12 that shitty?

Yeah, in a non bcs conference, they got smoked last year in a few games. Our fans ate funny, yeah lets hire a guy that lost 6 fricking games the first time he played a real schedule.

I generally like ur posts, but i think youve gone full retard.

No player should be worn out after playing 45 minutes of football. They wont have even played fir that long come the 4th quarter of the first gane of the year. Blue, hilliard and magee wont even have played 45 minutes combined until a few games in.

Lets not forget about our punishing fb. In fact i hope he gets worked into the offense more.

He lost 6 games after having a completely different team, losing 2 of his best defensive players, 4 RBs, and QB before/early in the season.

Not to mention all the players from the year before that graduated and were drafted.

He had the youngest team in the country last year and played backups who were freshmen at FS(lost their stud), LB(lost their stud), QB(lost the star of the team), and RB(lost 4 starters).

He is a damn good coach. Their defense was still top 20.

They will be a good test early. We win, but they aren't a cakewalk.

And yes, the Big 12 is going to be terrible again.

ETA:

Obviously they aren't as talented or deep as LSU, but imagine losing those players here?

Last year:
Mett OUT - Rivers in
Eric Reid OUT
Kevin Minter OUT
Jeremy Hill, Spencer Ware, Ford, and Blue OUT

Oh and on top of that put freshmen or sophomores in basically every other position.

That would be tough.

all true except: in place of Rivers put Shepard in (the back up QB was practicing at RB on Wed and was forced to play a pro style passing offense in light rain on Sat when he was better built for an option based offense.

I'm with you dog. I expect to see JC with the ball in his hands a bunch more in '13. Especially if Hill is out for an extended period of time.
