Better than I could do.
But I actually chuckled when I saw it, for some reason. I thinkthe map of the states looks too stiff and out of place. Solution? I got nothin.

Good work. Since you are asking for opinions, it looks a bit disconnected; like two different images together. Maybe too much yellow, the bordering state lines need to be bolder, maybe the tiger eye does not resemble the eye we are accustomed to seeing, proportions off a tad? I like the idea you have created. Keep working at it!

Thanks for the input. I put this together the other day also, but wanted to add some color. It was an eye from a picture on the web.
