If you don’t understand that good recruiting involves more than just getting high rated players you are too far gone for me to help.

Dude has made football enjoyable to watch again
Ah the go to praise when there is nothing tangible to back up the progress being claimed.
But this 9-3 was way more FUN than that 9-3!!

This staff is recruiting thier asses off.
As opposed to when?
quote:
They seemed to have learned from mistakes last year when they were told by certain recruits they were all aboard, then on signing day no show. Not holding spots open for the laggers. Naming no names of course, Surtain
None of these guys have signed. They are simply verbal commits.
Still TBD if any of them are “no shows”.

Not your old time three yards and a cloud of dust.
Well when you have an Urban Meyer QB and fail to sign impact RBs for two years, yeah that philosophy isn’t your bread and butter.
We’ll see what happens when this staffs QB is under center and Emery is in he backfield in 2020

Fun matters. At the end of the day for fans sports are entertainment and I want to have fun when I go to games or when I watch them. You can say it doesn’t matter but it does and last year was from my perspective the most fun year since ‘11.

It's weird how you always resort to some gay imagery.
That wasn’t intended to be gay imagery. I think you literally hide under his desk hoping to get close enough for a selfie with him
“Weird” that you went right to that though
It’s also weird how you seem to think hardware is a requirement for being excited about an AD but not a HC.
Not weird that you don’t address the point being made though. That’s standard Shrubbing

I’m an LSU fan who hopes Orgeron is the answer. He’s done a good job overall imo.
I haven’t attacked him or insulted him. As I said, this year will be huge in his future here. I hope he wins national championship and retires here with multiple titles.
I don’t understand why bringing up facts that show he really hasn’t elevated the program yet makes someone a “hater”.
Coach said it himself. 10 wins is good, not great.
I saw your comment about the basketball program..I’m thinking you’re right about that.
Geaux Tigers!

Truthfully my bad. Never read correctly, all the hate gets very frustrating!

I never said fun didn’t matter. 12 13 and 15 were lots of fun. Hell every season is fun.
But I’m an LSU fan, not a coach fan

No worries. You hearing good things on a late addition for Coach Wade?
Posted on 7/28/19 at 1:06 pm to Tiger Voodoo
Sure, but what I’m saying is making football more enjoyable to watch and building national hype around the team is progress in of itself.

Not a soul has ever said that. More paranoia

What I’m saying is your personal opinion or that of some fans of what is more enjoyable isn’t a true or quantifiable measure of progress for the program.
As far as building national hype, LSU was ranked #5 preseason in 2016.
National hype only became an issue the past two seasons, so that “progress” is only in relation to the deterioration under this staff.

Ah, the ole "cant understand context"
A poster suggested that Woodward wouldn't stand for a coach who hasn't won hardware. Weird, his track record doesn't suggest that.

Let me ask you something, what record do you think Miles would have finished with had we allowed him to continue the year he was fired, because I think it’s worse than it ended up being after O took over. I think it’s cometely foolish to suggest that the deterioration happened purely under O.

How long did Willingham last under Woodward?
Sumlin?
Posted on 7/28/19 at 1:23 pm to RogerTheShrubber
No. I said his track record is that he expects championships and will go out and get the best available coaches to give his program a chance to win championships.
I said he won’t be patting a coach on the back for a 9 win regular season.
Based on his track record, please tell me where I’m wrong.

What game did Orgeron win that Miles would have lost?

I think we all know this.
At this point the team is all Orgerons, and 3 losses aren't acceptable this season.
I'm just saying, Woodward hasn't exactly been a wonder worker where he's been and I think the faith is somewhat misplaced. His expertise has always been in fundraising. He deserves a chance to grow here to, and become what he needs to become.
My point being, he's bound to disappoint those who expect quick action whenever they feel it's appropriate.
