Only 9 times in 115 years...

Has LSU given up 50 or more points in a football game. Unfortunately, two of them have come in the last 8 games.
IMO, the defensive slide that became all to obvious yesterday, really started in the 2nd half of the South Carolina game last year. Since that game, I counted 9 games out of 12 that the defense has given up at least 24 points. Clearly something is wrong with the scheme and adjustments.
This leads me to the only question that matters. Are the two geniuses who installed yesteday's defensive game plan capable of turning this around or not?

Overtime hasn't been around for 115 years. You're comparing apples to oranges, and coming under the "sky is falling" spell.
Sure we need work and it's obvious. But these erroneous stats are killing me.

the pressure has been great on lsu for the last few years....this was bound to happen....once in a while sometimes to let the flood gates open could be the best medicine.....

Arkansas had 28 points at the end of regulation.

No. If so they would have done something in the two weeks between trying to give Moo U the game, and the embarassment last night. We are virtually halfway through the season and we still have the wrong personnel in the game, and players dazed and confused. Simple things like rushing the passer are a total mystery. Looks like the old bend and don't break defense of Teppers (which bent and broke)

Never heard of this philosophy before. When I played it was a bit different. Winning >> losing. Getting a 30 pt spanking only damages your team moral. Nothing good can come from it, unless Miles decides to light some fires.

Well, one of those came against the 2nd best team in college football last year, the OSU Buckeyes, so you can't be too upset with that.

You must be talking bout the sig. Those are players that Miles coached, hence the "Damn Strong Football Players" in my sig.

Since 2003 we won two NCs. Before that, the last time was in 58.. What is your point?

Just confirming his answer man.
Said at least 3 of those times were to FL, just telling him he is right.

I couldn't agree more! We are not getting ANY pass rush. And not just against the Gaytors. It was the same in the AU game. You give any QB that much time and he will pick you apart. We better get something going soon or it will be a long second half of the season.

We have the personnel to do it. These guys had PT last year. I know LSU can do it, let's see if the staff makes changes this week so this thread will be moot.
