Florida's band sucked during this time-frame. Big part of the reason I chose LSU incidentally (GBFTL 1990-1993.....)
You made a wise choice my friend.
Yeah that song is just 2 notes over and over again...for 30 freaking minutes.
But it was cool as if they were trying to say to everyone "the show has come to town."
I can remember TGBFTL trying to play OVER that crap and the fans would go nuts!

"chance of rain.....NEVER"
The only thing I truly hate about the TS pregame experience. Dan Borné has never gotten wet in the press box, but I have sure gotten SOAKED at least a dozen times over the years! Let him come sit next to me in the South endzone!

For me, when the band plays Neck
Never have been a fan of it! Never gives me the chills! Sorry!

I got chills just from reading this thread
Those beautiful 4 notes
When they show Billy Cannon's Halloween run on the big screen
Neck
Chance of Rain-NEVER!
Hey Fighting Tigers
Callin Baton Rouge
All of these give me chills everytime
I am either really hot in games or in chills

I didnt ask if you had, Lee. And as much as you are wrong about everything LSU, I find it hard to believe you are actually a fan.

Hey dude, plenty of us are pre-neck. I could give a shite less about neck as well, but I get that it means something to those who've spent a lot of time in Tiger Stadium recently. That said, don't mistake his lack of giving a shite about neck with whether or not he's a fan. There's definitely still more of us than there are of you!!

Half the experience is the game, other half is the tailgating.
Outside the stadium, meeting new people is where its at. Getting drunk, taunting opposing fans and hitting them with shite bombs(I kid)...
Inside the stadium, seeing Miles defy the law of physics and shaking Earth's balance only to pull away a close victory...

Oh i wasnt basing my opinion on LSU on what he thought about Neck. Lee may have a good heart, but his knowledge of LSU is about as bad as Dandy Dons depth chart this morning.
I understand Neck hasnt been around forever, but im 25 and, like you said, it rings close to me. I wish they still played it.
And the "All i do is Win" thing is brand new, but it is bad arse too IMO. I just wish we could get something like that going, and not have 20 other schools doing it too.

Yall obviously don't know the background behind this. Its one of those metaphor things.

coming out of the tunnel into the fading light and seeing the team on the field warming up, then the slow build as the rest of the stadium fills up around the student section.
That calm before the storm is moeny.
Most individual memory would have to be the whole team running to the student section after the almost altercation against FLA in 09. I'll never forgive the gameplan from that game wasting the most charged tiger stadium pregame environment I've ever experienced.

I will most definitely agree with you here. One word i can use to describe the feeling aroung the stadium before that game: MYSTICAL

i know the reason he says it. i have been going to games since 82. just dont like it .

The tailgating is always fun. The food is defrickinglicious. I love it when the band comes down Victory Hill. The pregame is always fun to watch as well. I also get that tingling feeling when I'm walking through the portal to get into the stadium. It's like entering another world.

Been going to games at TS since Auburn in 1969. I'm fully aware of the tradition. In fact throughout the 70's I actually believed it was true. (Never got wet then) But now it's just outdated and actually kinda lame.
