Having Chattanooga be more productive against bama than we were is now considered playing very well.

Wouldn't say that but a person would have to be an idiot to not see why Coach O brought in the only OC nominated for the Broyles Award as LSU's OC.

Actually, they haven't.

Exactly... But if he does near the same its better than Curly.... Not sure who we could have gotten that was available that could do better than Miles.... Jimbo maybe???

So you're saying Orgeron may not even replicate the record that got Miles fired, but it's okay because it would still be better than Curley? And that there weren't any coaches who were both better than Miles and available?

Again, youre the poster that doesnt give Herman credit for his 1st year at Houston because it wasnt his program and then touts an interim tenure. Just the epitome of ignorant.

Has Ed orgeron ever had any head coaching success WITHOUT the interim tag? Has Ed Orgeron ever proven he can formulate a defensive gameplan?

Has he not hired one of the best OC's in the country?
Has he not signed one of the best DC's to an extension while naming him associate head coach?
Has he not hired the #1 ranked recruiter in the nation to be LSU's RB coach and recruiting coordinator?
Is he not responsible for Austin Thomas being at LSU?
Did he not recruit circles around your Macho Man for this class?
Did your Macho Man formulate the offensive game plans that got his much more talented team 303 yards against SMU and 287 yards against Tulane?

Even you could have done all of these things with the LSU program behind you.

After the season ended Orgeron and staff put together the #7 recruiting class in the country with 2 of the Top 10 players and 5 of the Top 30 from Texas and flipping some key players from OU and Texas.

We had a top 5 class the day Miles was fired.

I've seen enough to give Coach O a chance. If nothing else, from both the coaches, players & Coach O himself, he lets the position coaches coach, put their own players in when they feel it is best, i.e. he lets them use their specific expertise to the betterment of the team. The polar opposite of CLM. And the polar opposite of what he did at O.Miss over a decade ago. That alone gives him the benefit of the doubt in my book. And his recruiting speaks for itself. Just do not understand the level of hate for him. Of course, this is the fan base who have turned TS into a shell of itself.

There isnt a great coach in cfb that doesnt have a hand in one side of the ball. Not one. You clearly have the football knowledge of a shoe.

CEO is a defensive coach. If he had a hand on one side of the ball it would be defense. He has Coach Dave Aranda running the defensive side of the ball. I think it would be very smart of Coach O to NOT have a hand or try to run the defense.

If you can retain or hire great coaches it's a very smart move to let them actually coach. Email Coach O and tell him you want him to run the defense instead of Aranda, dumbass. You could perform a comedy routine and at end of O's coaches shows. I would listen.

None of this matters YET....Lets put it this way... He will have A TON more talent to work with here than he did at Ole Miss... I love his attitude and passion... I hope he does well but we will see.....

I didn't realize our sophomore, SEC leading rusher, RB needed his position coach out on the field to tell him which way to go

Well, apparently he did or at least better coaching leading up to that. Like I said, that is why the RB coach is no longer employed by LSU and now lives in Texas.

Which also makes for convenient passing of responsibility. See Tiger Ree's post about the Florida game and the RB coach.

Have you seen the last few hires that Alleva's made in major sports?

And I thought you hated everything to do with LSU.

Yes I have seen his recent hires. I agree and think he is doing a damn good job. Beth Torina, Will Wade and Coach O are definitely top notch hires.

We didn't beat a team with a pulse of a run defense after O took over and we scored a total of ten points in two homes losses against teams who could handle the LSU rushing game

WE? You on the team?

Your right LSU didn't beat a team with a pulse of a run defense after O took over. Did you happen to notice the TE's coach running the offense last season has now been replaced with the only offensive Broyles Award candidate? Did you notice the RB's coach is no longer at LSU after being replaced by a coach who has NFL as well as college experience.

Do you think those were bad moves? If LSU's offense does good against teams with a pulse of a run defense this year will you enjoy it or just continue to bitch about last year?

Sounds like we should have hired Dave Aranda as head coach.

Softball is not a major sport. And Wade was a top notch hire, O was not.

What the frick are you even talking about now? Hiring Canada and Robinson has nothing to do with handing the ball off to Guice and Fournette last season against teams that all ranked 100+ in rush defense. Just give up, you are really making yourself look like a complete dumbass.
