I assumed we were talking based on actual knowledge of baseball not what “you’re fed from espn”

He was committed to them long before he made that jump.

They were betting on bloodlines really. His dad and uncle both pitching in the majors. Plus his cousin that went to NJIT making it to the majors. Why not. He had command of multiple pitches, pitchability, game knowledge.

His floor was really high even without the velo.

I was basing my comments on what I know from discussions about these staffs with baseball people

That was the basis of my comparison, not television based readings. Sorry if that wasn’t clear and thanks for not being a pretentious know it all a-hole

Not many have at that high of a level, but we dont strike out tons of batters, even when we get up 1-2, 0-2, etc. We are like 10th in the SEC in k/9 innings.

I wish I could remember the announcers for that game. B/c I definitely thought WTF when they said that.
