I hate to disagree, but I do. We cannot run the football. If these lineman are that good ( most of them are highly ranked) we should be able to run the ball. I understand that we had three freshmen on the line, but they seem unable to move anyone off the line. I think it is time to look at what the OL coach is doing; we totally lack physicality.

Oline was as good tonight as they have been all year missing their best players. That was a surprise. I expected nuss to run for his life all night with no run game at all.

exactly where BK should be making a change. Our Oline coach is as good as our running game. I'll let you make the call.

We won the game with what we had and that’s great. But, how many times today did the back get the handoff and just ran into the Oline standing up not having moved anybody ?

LSU rushed for 114 and allowed zero sacks.

Baylor rushed for 62 and allowed one sack.

This is a problem. Defensive lines are getting instant leverage on LSU run blocking. They should implement a legal cut blocking strategy.

That was a patchwork OLine and they played about as well as they could have.

I agree they were as good as our regular starting Oline.
That should tell you all you need to know about how good our Oline was this past year. Way overrated.

They gave up no sacks with a complete shuffle and 15 practices. And it isn’t like Baylor didn’t try to get pressure on Nuss.

Yes, we need to get better play inside for the run game to improve, but it was still really good to see guys like Echols and Adams look good out there today. We need competition across the OL for every spot next season and a few of these young guys and recruits we have look up to pushing the portal guys.

I remember games with about the same rushing yardage and a fraction of the passing yardage.

It’s wild how different things are now from a decade ago, while our record is almost identical.
