The two times we scored quickly with both Etling and Brennan, the offense seemed fine. The dancing around is when I was cringing sitting at the stadium. I hope it's the two minute drill every time.

Scoring quickly, i.e. Less plays, time of possession, is actually not a good thing in the big picture as compared to long drives that wear out the other team's defense. But if we lack the stamina/ability to do the latter I guess we'll have to hope for the best.

As the team gels more and coaching can be adapted to what's possible on the field, there's no telling what the result could be, hopefully in a good way.

How is our Oline that terrible when we had two spots to fill?

It's simple.

We lost the two most talented (Pocic and Teuhema) and downgraded. Then our one remaining SEC caliber player (Clapp) is playing a different position.

The YPC avg that everybody uses to say "we had the #2 OL in 2016" are skewed by long runs against lower tier opponents, and Auburn.
LSU was #1 in '16 and #3 in '15, iirc.
You seem to have FB knowledge, but miss the fact all 14 teams in the SEC have cupcakes and Auburn type games.

The "take out this or that" argument doesn't work well with me.
"If you take out those 3 50+ TD runs, we did a pretty good job containing Fournette."

I can understand how offensive transferring, recruiting linemen from the outside in and playing freshman can contribute to not so great line play... but, I cant understand how our 4 and 5 star linemen were getting pushed around by Miss. St and Syracuse. These are not power house linemen on either side of the ball. IF it were Georgia, Florida or that other school in Tuscaloosa, then I could see it being a factor. Malone, Weathersby and Clapp are three year starters and Brumfield is a 4th year senior. I do believe in LSU and believe we can turn it around, but it must start this weekend.

The offense is different. Blocking assignments are different. Maybe they'll eventually get it.

I thought that was the pro to hiring Canada. He made a system for what he has to work with rather than trying to make everyone learn a new system.

Clapp .... All-SEC quality.

No he isn't. He is an intelligent player, but he is too small and too weak for big time SEC OL, especially center.

Right - It seems the whole narrative is changing back to excuse mode.

Clapp isn't a center. He is a guard and he needs to slide back to guard. It is time to give Cushenberry some reps at center.

LSU fans blaming OL for bad pass offense is typical LSU fan rhetoric. There are workarounds for this, and long arse developing plays is not one of them.

Coach Grimes was on the radio Sunday evening admitting to numerous breakdowns in pass pro and the need to replace Ingram with Magee. There is nothing rhetorical about the problems with this OL.
