They can’t pin students behind the goal and expect them to come.

Students did not come when they had mid-court seats either. Tons of schools have their student sections behind the goal.

This is the biggest thing. Half of the seats are blocked by the basket. Also if you watch the other powerhouse schools play at home, note where their student section is located. Having the student section on the sideline allows students to get involved in the game.

Like kansas, kentucky, unc? Or maybe we should let only grad students sit on the sidelines and give undergrads a handful of seats behind the goal like duke does.

Eliminate the media in that first level and at least give the students the entire semi circle behind the goal

Media should be upper level. No reason at all for them to take up those seats. If students can’t be there because its too close to the visitors bench, then sell those to the general public

The reason that LSU moved the student section is that MOST of their prime, sidecourt seats were empty for most games including SEC games.

Lots of good student sections are behind the goals like at UK and Purdue and Kansas.

LSU needs to move the press section to the top and free up those seats for students. But, it is the students themselves that are the problem. Most just don't want to come to the games no matter what. The student section only filled up for 4 home games last year in a 16-2 SEC championship season.
