Watching the Blue grass miracle game.

Who ya take on your team? Henderson from 2002 or Jefferson from 2020?

Henderson was impressive that game.

Also seems like LSU got several shite calls to stall drives.

Anyway, Geaux Tigers

That’s a tough question. Good comparison.

Jefferson was/is quicker, especially in making cuts after the catch, but Henderson probably had better top speed, and developed better hands by the end of his career (maybe Jefferson will get even better hands over time as well).

Henderson was bigger and thicker with a bit more of a running back build. He was tough to tackle.

I’d give a slight edge to Henderson, but I’d have to watch the film. It’s close. Both were great.

Not even close to who had better hands. Come on, man. #2 all day.

He absolutely did. He ran in the 4.3s and was a consistent deep threat in the NFL.

Henderson’s hands did get better but JJ definitely has better hands even compared to Henderson’s later years.

Justin Jefferson is one of the best receivers in LSU history and had one of the most dominant games ever by a receiver and he did it in the playoffs.

Jack Hunt did a great job catching the blue grass miracle, but I would still take Justin Jefferson.

Just a though,

Henderson had Marcus Randall throwing to him in a running offense.

Jefferson has Heisman Burrow in a pass happy offense.

This is not even a debate to me. Jefferson by a mile. He's one of the best ever to play at LSU.

Justin Jefferson every time. He’s one of our best receivers ever. I feel like he is so under appreciated all the time.

Jefferson also was also competing in that offense with Jamar Chase, Thad Moss, CEH and Terrace Marshall.

We can play hypothetical shite all day. Imo Devery Henderson was a great deep threat but Justin is a compete receiver.

Everyone can always go “yeah but if player X had player Y’s this then they would have been as good”

I just don’t buy into that shite. Jets was a beast and his numbers speak for themself. He was his best on the biggest stage and I don’t think he should be devalued for playing in a pass happy offense.

Maybe Devery would have been as good or maybe even better but that’s an unknown.

What is known is that Jets had one of the greatest seasons in LSU history by a WR and an even more memorable play than the Blue Grass Miracle.
