He'll also have a big hand in special teams.

First-year starter Trent Domingue connected on 13-of-17 field goals for the Tigers, while punter Jamie Keehn averaged 40.7 yards a punt to finish his career among the school's all-time punting leaders.

Digging for special teams compliments eh?

Hiring him would sure be a kick out of bounds hire.

He's an excellent recruiter. He'd likely still be at LSU if Aranda wasn't coaching LBs.

He may be a great recruiter but that is offset by the fact that he may be the worst coach of any position in all of college football. He has a long track record of failure at whatever he is in charge of, outside of recruiting and BBQ. Good riddance, and I am glad he is at Ole Miss.

Please list his failures as a LB coach. Special teams as well....I think we all saw how they improved when Les wasn't asking them to kick it in the corner every time.

He has coached some pretty good linebackers for the Tigers...but they probably came in college and then NFL ready.

He's very over rated as a recruiter.....his area just happened to be TX who we pulled some big time guys out of the last few years......how many stud TX recruits you think OM is gonna pull this year? How many has LSU lost since he was fired??? Deculus,Delpit,Engram, probably Wilson are all on board or about to be on board.......

This is a complete desperation hire by Freeze, but I don't really see the upside to it considering he's likely gone after next year?

Best news I've heard today!!!

It took Arranda 30 seconds to move him away from our LBs

not many with the short timeframe to signing day....next year may be a different story, though.

I remember hearing that he is tight with one of our recruiting targets. Wasn't that Cam Akers?

He's had a major part in coaching the lbs since chief left. Before that handled the safety's (Adams fr yr).

Too bad his sp teams sucked

So one guy Chavis insisted he wanted starting when he clearly didn't have the talent to do so...does he then get credit for Beckwith and Riley? What about Kwon and Debo? He coached those guys too.

Vengeance is mine, saith Bradley Dale.
On one hand he will seal the fate of Hugh Freeze. Upon the other he will exact his revenge upon O.

May be the only one but I think BDP is ok as an LB coach. He coached them under Pelini and I don't recall there being many complaints then. But if Freeze is gonna have him coaching both LB's and ST's - big mistake.

And BDP is a very good recruiter.
