Through 22 games last year, against an easier schedule (no Shriners), LSU had scored 23 fewer runs than they have so far this season.
So they are averaging 1 run more each game this year.

Please don't vent or try again.

We are a power hitting team the strikeouts and bad games are going to happen because it’s a feast or famine style. The problem I have is moving too many guys around in the lineup all the time. Power hitters need a steady diet of pitches and that comes with being in similar situations dictated by the protection they get from the hitters around them. You can’t have guys like Doughty, Crews, Dugas and Berry moving around all of the time if you want to maximize the collective threat they bring. I know Berry isn’t moved much but the others are. Lefty/righty doesn’t matter, you can use pieces around them to offset that but the heart of the order needs to be constant if we’re going to squeeze everything we can out of those guys.

I feel like we’re hitting the ball well enough to win most games. Am I missing something?
They have given up 11, 6, 9, 6, 11, 7 and 7 runs in their losses. They have 5 wins when giving up 5 or more runs. That doesn’t look like a problem with the offense.
