AND 2 of the 3 best players on the team (Chase and Stingley) are still on the team.

-Then you also have 6 more starters that will be drafted next year(That is if there is still an NFL by then):
Shelvin
Marshall
Stevens
Logan
Deculus
Vincent
AND...4 more Major contributors that will likely be drafted:
Farrell
Ingram
McMath
Clarke

All total that's 32...THIRTY TWO LSU players that saw playing time in the Championship game that will likely be signed to NFL contracts by the end of next year's draft!

This happens all the time. I’ve seen on this site that we could have beaten a team we didn’t play or we could have beaten a team we did play and lost. So it is natural for other teams to do this as well. It’s natural when you have a team like Clemson who has played no significant competition and wins a title. I’ve seen it here on the rant when Ala has won a tittle but had a weak SEC and non conference schedule. But this LSU title is very different having beaten every great team in the nation badly even if the scores didn’t always show it. Fans of other schools will say what they want but true sports analyst will declare that the facts show this was perhaps the greatest team of all time.

Ah, good ole transitive property. 100% success rate.

LSU clearly earned the national title and OSU did not. They don't have any claim that they "should have" won it.

But, it isn't unreasonable for OSU fans to think they would have had a good chance against LSU. I think Vegas had set the line for a potential matchup as a pickem, with LSU or OSU (can't remember) as -0.5 or -1 favorites.

They certainly would have fared better than Clemson. OSU has some dogs on defense that could have presented us problems. 2019 Clemson was lacking those kind of guys - Simmons and maybe Terrell.

If LSU fans are being objective ( ), I think we can say that OSU could have potentially beaten us. It would have been a great game.

Both teams are absolutely loaded with NFL players. If the two had played, you would probably be looking at 40+ guys stepping on to the field that would be NFL draft picks. A lot of those Day 1&2 guys, with Maybe close to 20 guys eventually going round one.
