the Rant is littered with myths of Bebe being this all-world recruiter. his rankings while at OM reflect otherwise.

What I'm confused about, is everyone saying if we get coach O, he becomes recruiting coordinator, what about Josh Henson? He hasn't done a bad job, we are having a banner year as far as recruiting, I guess O would get some bullshite title, associate recruiting coordinator?

Going head to head with whom in his home state?

LSU? Yeah, we aren't that easily picked, but schools do get em just the same. With his recruiting talents at LSU, I feel pretty darn good let me tell ya.

they might throw an Asst. title at him...give him multi areas of responsibilities. i don't know how it would work, or even if it could. i do know that Bebe is a great DL coach.

you're right though. i think Henson has done a good job as recruiting co. and the fact is, the legend of Bebe's mythical recruiting skills were not reflected in his class rankings during 3 yrs. at OM.

he failed on the field, and off. just plain bad.

I disagree, he did about as well as anyone could recruiting for Ole Miss. Also, some of his low classes are attributed to his lack of success as a head coach. If his team was winning 8 games a year, he would have gotten better recruits there. He or anyone else shouldn't have a problem recruiting at LSU.

Recruits come to LSU b/c it's LSU. Ogeron had to beat the bushes to get recruits to go to Ole Miss. That isn't a problem at LSU.

he did marginally better than Cut did, in his last 3 yrs.

he stunk it up as a HC, and he failed as his own DC during his first 2 yrs. at OM.

he loves to recruit...he said that numerous times. i do agree he would have more success recruiting for LSU, than against.

And Cutcliffe was a great coach with a more attractive program. So what does that tell you about O's recruiting abilities?

it tells me that he was marginally better at recruiting than Cut.

it also tells me he was an epic failure as a HC and a DC. he loss more games each yr., than Cut did in his worst yr.

But he wouldn't be coming here as a head coach, or DC, we are talking DL and recruiting

he was his own DC at OM for the '05 and '06 seasons. his stats were just awful.

he hired John Thompson as DC in '07.

What makes anyone think that Orgeron, formerly DC at USC, recently a Head Coach at an SEC school and currently on an NFL staff, would leave where he is for a college position that isn't at least Defensive Coordinator?
