Thanks.. I try to be rational
But I do have to take up for the students somewhat in this situation.. Because it was all fun with the LSU fans above us.. I think you guys should find those fans and give em' hell. Cause LSU had really taken the energy out of the stadium after the TD in the third quarter.. But those fans woke up the stadium again.. lol.. Cause the students got going again and the rest followed..

iluvdatigers - I did not cheer for any injured player- You see what you want to see. You talk about classless, you sound like an authority on classless You are definately a soar loser and i'm certainly glad I don't know you. What year were you on the gymnastics team?

you and your frinds must be those LSU asswholes that the other teams talk abou
You talking to me? I'm not one of those fans. All I'm saying is that I was an LSU student and I've seen some of our fans at their worst. To claim that LSU does not have some very shitty fans would just be naive.

@ChrisPE, you're reaching for excuses to cover the lack of tact your fans have. Whether there were LSU fans chanting L-S-U or not, your fans did not stop cheering when they saw the player go down. In fact, they cheered louder.
In my mind, an Alabama fan is worried how a player's injury will affect the production of the team, whereas LSU fans actually WORRY about the well-being of the young man playing the game.
At LSU, when one of our players goes down, we chant L-S-U to our player just as Mickey cheered on Rocky to "get up". That might have been the L-S-U you say you heard.
You may say that "You didn't cheer", or "you didn't do this or that", but the vast majority of your fans did. As an Alabama fan on an LSU board, you represent your school. Understand this.
@Lindalouise, it's a lot worse being a sore winner than a sore loser. If you can't walk away a winner with a smile on your face and tell the opposing fans "great game, have a safe ride home" and instead yell in peoples' faces with RTR and other nastiness, then you're lower than dirt. At least a sore loser has a reason to be in a negative mood.

TigerJeux.. I can only speak for me and the other 40,000 students around me ;-).. But we were all turned toward the section above us..Not even looking at the field..The player(s) would go down.. The LSU fans behind us would start their cheers.. So it was fair game to respond.. It had nothing to do with the hurt players.. HEll.. We were all just in shock at how the LSU players kept coming back.. Especially Peterson.. He is a warrior..

ChrisSPE, you people are scum.

40,000 students???? Your entire enrollment is only 28,000.
Posted on 11/8/09 at 11:13 pm to ChrisSPE
But I understand.. Without you seeing exactly what happened, you will not understand.. And neither would I if the same happened and you tried to explain to me.. But I am being honest here.. Were there some fans that were just booing a player being hurt? Probably...Maybe.. I cant say because I don't know.. But I do know what the student section was doing because I was right there.. Looking around in amazement.. And it was just the students doing the Ala-Bama cheer.. The ones in the end zone would say Ala.. And the ones in the corner would say Bama..
Posted on 11/8/09 at 11:15 pm to ChrisSPE
I was just kidding when I said I would speak for the 40,000 fans around me.. lol.. And I'm not a student.. I am 29.. I did go to Bama though.. I was actually there with about 5 LSU fans from Lafayette... And sorry ghostface. I am not a scum.. Were there scum in the stadium.. More than likely.. But I bet there was LSU scum there too..

Dude, your flattery of the "warrior-like" ability of Patrick Peterson doesn't make the rest of your post rosey. Get rid of the compliment, and basically you just said to me "nuh uh. We didn't do it until we were provoked".
I was sitting right above the students, on the very first row. I could see the faces of the students. Hell I could see down the tops of the hotties sitting right below me. Being this close, I could read lips and see expressions. There was VILENESS in their faces. It's almost as if by us cheering on our own player to get up, we had killed your dog in your eyes. Students yelling "F-You" and "S*ck my C**k, flipping the bird and grabbing their crotch.
THIS is not sportsmanship.

Ok.. Never said it was sportsmanship.. It was just fun.. Were some of the 17 or 18 year old drunk kids flippin off the LSU fans above them directing cheers at them?? NO DOUBT.. Was it classless.. NO DOUBT.. I am only talking about the Ala-Bama cheers and the Roll Tides.. Thats it.. Thats all I am speaking of..
Posted on 11/8/09 at 11:21 pm to ChrisSPE
And when it first started.. LSU had just went up 15-10.. The students and everyone was pissed off at Greg McElroy.. Everyone was sitting down pissed off. And here come the LSU chants from above.. Did it cause some bad reactons?? I am sure it did.. But the majority had fun with it.. And the LSU fans above us seemed to be enjoying it too.. It lasted the rest of the game..

SenoPablo, I was not talking to you. You sound like a very rational person. I was talking to iluvdatigers regarding his comment that Bama fans are classless - All teams have some of these classless fans.
Posted on 11/8/09 at 11:29 pm to ChrisSPE
Quit diverting. The point remains that Alabama fans were cheering and being visually and verbally abusive while there was an injured player on the field, which is completely disgusting no matter what time or what went on before it happened.
I'm sorry, but I did NOT have fun listening to ROLL TIDE and ALA-BAMA while Charles Scott was being carried off the field with a SEASON-ENDING INJURY.

So it was okay for LSU to cheer and taunt the students but not okay for the students to respond??
Posted on 11/8/09 at 11:36 pm to ChrisSPE
Dude, chanting L-S-U while our player is down to show our support for his recovery is NOT taunting.
There's a HUGE difference between chanting "LSU" to the player on the field and yelling at the fans above you "F*ck You" and "S*ck my c**k" and flipping the bird.

Were you there?? I am telling you the LSU fans above us were not chanting LSU for the hurt player.. They were pointing at us and rubbin in the fact that yall were beating us.. That is why I and the majority of the students started cheering.. I cant speak for the FU's and birds and whatnot.. That was wrong.. Do you not understand what I am saying??? I don't agree with those things.. But the LSU fans above us were not just cheering in support of their hurt player... I saw their actions with my own eyes just like you saw some classless students
Posted on 11/8/09 at 11:42 pm to ChrisSPE
But I bow out.. You win
I don't have the officials here to cut me a break
And that was not me just throwing out compliments about Peterson.. I was amazed.. I kept saying everytime he went down, "no way that kid comes back".. And time after time he was right back in there.. It was amazing.. And I am sorry about Scott... He is a beast..
Posted on 11/8/09 at 11:44 pm to ChrisSPE
Yes, I understand what you're saying, but you're asking me if it's wrong for one team's fans to be taunting another team's fans when they go up in the score. I figured that was a rhetorical question, because the answer is undoubtedly "no". Everyone does it everywhere in the country.
You were referring to LSU fans taunting UA students when we went up 15-10, which was a completely different situation to when our players were injured.
The OP was commenting on the lack of class of Bama fans when our player was injured, not when they were responding to LSU fan's taunts when we scored.
And yes, I was there. First row, upper deck.
