Agreed. There is some closure now.

Whether you've been a Jefferson, Lee, Mett, fan, or even none of the above....it's time for the fan base to get behind the team.

See you bitches in Dallas!

I think the potentials ridiculously high with JL. I can not wait to see how this plays out.

There is no other option to bitch about at this point. It's JLEE and only JLEE. He will get all the support he needs from the team and fanbase to go out there and lead this team to a national title.

Ever since he got thrown in the mix as a RS Freshman he has took a ton of undue criticism. Yes, he earned the name pick 6 Lee by the national media, but we did average a ton of points the year he started at QB as a Freshman, and our Defense Sucked arse that year. Maybe worst defense of the decade. I'm hoping he leads us to a victory next saturday and never looks back.

A lot of haters (JJ backers in disguise) did everything they could to discredit him... there were a lot of factors contributing to his screw ups. Including some players not trying to even tackle the other teams players after the interceptions.

Don't get me wrong, he screwed up, but when you are asked to perform what you can not, IT IS ON THE COACHES AS WELL.

One thing is undeniable, the kid has a set of "big brass balls" for still being here.

The guys going to do well. If we can have a steady running game I look for some big plays.

Jarrett Lee starting might turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

FIFTH YEAR SENIOR

He has learned a lot (hopefully) since those few games. His mind is at a totally different point in his career and he will be here to step up and win some games.

I agree with you about JL getting some pretty solid support. I admit I groaned every time I saw him come in those first 2 seasons, but I think the moxie he's shown just by taking all that criticism on the chin has just made him that much more tough mentally. I think the now non-existent QB controversy will only help boost his confidence.

Haha and not saying I thought Miles would have started him regardless of the JJ situation, I was just trying to start some discussion. None of us know what's goin on under the Hat!

And you also gotta realize that all the pressure he was put under was because of that bum Ryan Perriloux...without all that crap JJ, JL, and Andrew Hatch would have been able to get acclimated to the SEC environment and the LSU offense

Troof, i agree that it would've been hard for any freshman outside of Sam Bradford to thrive in his position.

Now he's going to take all that experience and turn it into TD's!!

If the players are anything like us, I'm sure they're rallying around Lee as well. It's almost time to hit the other guys and I know they can't wait for that.

Enough about team Lee or team Mett, I'm on team LSU! Now let's GEAUX to Dallas and kick the shite out of the ducks!

Nice thread and post. I am pulling for him and think his sticking around is a case of extreme loyalty, patience, and perseverance. Many could and likely would have thrown in the towel - but he didn't.

Last year, when given the chance he played well. Now he will get his chance to exorcise all the demons once and for all - if he hasn't put that behind him already. I personally think he has.

The poise he had last year when allowed to play, was one of an experienced player who played with confidence.

without jarrett lee (an Derek Dooley) we would've been 8-5 or 9-4 no doubt in my mind.

Its his time !!

The kid has always thrown the ball about 15 yards VERY well....specially to his right.

He got in trouble largely throwing into the middle in disguised coverages....not to dismiss that sometimes it was not a great throw.but, to the outside and his right, he has always thrown a sweet pass.

Remember the game against NE, I think when Ridley was first pit in as well..and he was put in until he was backed up on the 5 yrd line.
