Just turned on my XM radio and tuned into Bluesville, ch 70. 18 inch ashtray, bottle of whiskey and the blues, merrrrccccyyy! The blues can make ya happy when your sad and sad when your happy. Going down to the crossroads looking for an offensive coordinator.

When does someone have to answer for the playcalling?

Question is? Will Mettenberger improve for next year? The jury is out

Maybe so but he made some good throws tonight when he had time. Our O Line was pretty bad.

I agree with your earlier post, 30 days to prepare and this is what we get. We can't expect the defense to play that long and not give up plays eventually. Same thing happened in last years NCG.

After the 4 plays they practiced and after none works what do you expect them to call?

Sorry if it's been said already but Miles looked embarrassed after the loss and he should have, horrible showing tonight. HE & his offensive coaches lost that game. The offensive play calls, ONCE AGAIN, doom a better than our opponent team to a loss.

Clemson was averaging 42.3 points per game, and we held them to 25 or 17.3 below their average. We averaged 30 pts per game and got 22. or 8 below our average.

I actually don't mind the pass on 1st down on our last series, but after the 8 yard completion, run two QB sneaks or Jeremy Hill runs, and get 2 yards and we win right there, or cause them to at least use all of their time outs and any chance of a W.

We didn't get the interference call in the endzone on Landry and settled for "yet another" field goal in the red zone, and they got interference after interference all night.

The Big 10 officials had it out for us, plus we were stupid on the headsets.

Could we please cover #6. Knock him at the line of scrimmage on 4th down or any down, and we destroy Clemson. What a horrible loss. It's not losing, but "how" we've lost the last few games.

Our D was strong and played the best they could have considering the extended amount of snaps they had to play. I am very disappointed in or OC, not that he should be the OC. Once Krag came down with Parkinson's we should have hired a real OC.

That said, our O played better than what I expected. We rely too much on our D to win the game. The time has come to hire a real OC to produce results with all the talented athletes we have. Mett is a decent QB and can make the throws if he is given time to do so. Our O line was not good on pass protection but pretty good on running plays.

you see this is what pisses me off. is miles blind to that fact that we have hated the OC for years? jefferson was horrible....and we couldnt wait for him to leave. the BUCS booting him was our confirmation that he sucked.

what needs to happen in order to get the change?

and for the love of god how long before we have a qb that is just dominate. i dont want to hear metts stats for the last half of the season i know. it was the o lines fault today. i know

but what is it gonna take? rettig? haha have you seen this kid play highschool ball. i have no idea why hes in aa game. prob b/c his size?

we have rivers. yeah and his brother sucks. who wants a 7 ft qb anyways?

is it the qb's coach?

Yeah, the O Line needed to give the AB more time to throw tonight. However, that has been the case all year. Poor kid sees his life flash before his eyes practically everytime the ball is snapped. The sacks were inexcusable. There was simply substandard blocking.

If Miles wants to run the ball all the time, maybe he ought to switch to the Veer and recruit for that scheme. It at least works a little better for a medicore line, but you got to have some damn good backs and a fast running AB with icewater in his veins.

I'm just frustrated like everyone else. The talent is down there, but it just isn't clicking~

That was a great game to listen to. Right down to the wire. Clemson was hanging in there, playing over their heads, but it was LSUs to lose. And they did. Unbelievable play calling at the end of the game. The ESPN radio color commentator was dumbfounded at the passes called when they were trying to run out the clock. Then the fact that Miles didn't call a time out with 16 seconds left just to make sure they at least had a chance at a kickoff return. It was obvious stuff to the guys in the ESPN radio booth. Exciting game though.

LSU talent is not there; look at the Stats.
Clemson obviously has more talent than LSU.
For example, don't you think Clemson could have completed the 2nd and 2 yard pass that Met. overthrew by 10 yards on our last offensive series? Clemson completes a 4th and 17 with our defenders all around the receiver, and we can not complete a 5 yard pass to a receiver with no one around him.
