Also why did you signify home games for USC and Georgia and Road games for LSU?

Because it looks like we had the more difficult schedule...they play ranked teams at home while we get thrown into the swamp...

Road and home games need to be taken into account, but unfortunately only Sagarin's SOS formula does that. Still Florida was the only good team LSU has faced.

1. Auburn is not very good, so their #10 ranking at the time of the game is irrelevant and 2. the fact that LSU played at the Swamp means that it's a more difficult schedule to go undefeated due to this one game, but does not make it more difficult schedule overall.

Ok....I can digest some of this....but, consider, we are talking a difference of 64...22.....all the way to 13.

USC

@ Virginia
Ohio ST
@ Oregon ST
Oregon
ASU
@ Washington St

LSU

1AA Appy St.
North Texas
@ Auburn
Miss. St.
@ Florida
@ South Carolina

For USC that is 1 great team, 3 good teams, 1 mediocre team, and 1 garbage team.

For LSU it is 1 great team, 1 good team, 2 mediocre teams, and 2 garbage teams.

LSUMatt's BCS knowledge is vastly superior to BayTiger's hurricane knowledge. To compare the 2 is a huge insult to LSUMatt.

I hate to be drbbie Downer here, But we have no buisness to be in the NC game. I love the tigers as much as anyone but we are not that good of a team this year, It is what it is. We dont suck but this hope of a NC is out of reach this year. Last year we were a better team and even with our 2 losses, We were a great 2 loss team. (better than any other 2 loss team) This team would have to do a complete 180 from the way its playing now to get even considered to play in the NC if other teams ahead of us have 1 and 2 losses. I just dont see it happening eventhough I would love to play for a BCSNC, I dont think we deserve it.

How can you say that? I just don't understand. We lost to Florida in their biggest game of the year on CBS at 8PM their time. Big deal.

If we beat Georgia and Alabama (we should be favored in both) we'll has a legit a claim as any 1-loss team in the nation.

So Ohio State is great
Wazzu is garbage
ASU is mediocre

but then UVA, Oregon, and Oregon State are good? I'll give you OU and OSU I guess, but UVA needs to beat GT this weekend to move up into good status

Your right, Big deal we lost to Fla on there biggest game of the year on CBS. We played like shite for most of the game. So is next week our biggest game of the season? What have we done to put us up there with the Elite? We beat App state, N texas, Aub. ( who isnt doing all that well) Miss state, Who Lost to LA Tech (we also allowed them aolt of yards total offence) . We go into Fla and get drummed. I figured it could have went Either way but that was an all arround spanking. I aleast though we would compete. we Didnt. and the 7 pt win over USC wast verry impressive. (should have been 14 pts or even 21 if not for that phantom touchdown) We looked better dont get me wron, but we arent anywhere close to being Dominate on any level.

I counted South Carolina as good. Oregon is 5-2 with their 2 losses to USC and an undefeated Boise St team. I believe I was consistent with my ratings.

The point isn't that we should be #1 based on anything that has happened to date. It's that in a hypothetical situation where we win out, we will have earned a spot as a top team. If we lose then this whole discussion is moot anyway.

I agree, If we win out, and beat FLA in ATL. We should be in the NC before anyother school (except for TX if they go un scratched) But that Is a Big IF and I havent seen anything that makes me believe that we will not loose again. We have 3 BIG games aginst BIG teams. I think we will beat Bamma just B/C Nikky cant finish. If we dont allow them the get out ahead in the 1st half, We will own them. We are a 2nd half team and Bamma is def. not. I for some reason se us dropping this weeks game and Miss. Call me nutts but thats just what I see happening. I love the tigers and I will still be there cheering for them as usual, But I see us with 3 losses

I hate to burst your bubble, but in no way will we be favored over Alabama. I think we're a 3 pt favorite over GA right now, but I don't know that I'd take that bet...

I gave you OU and OSU, I was saying that UVA should be in the mediocre category at this time

Virginia is 4-3 vs the #7 SOS. South Carolina is 5-3 vs the #31st SOS. Virginia is 38th in Sagarin's Elo Chess while South Carolina is 37th.

Ok....let me be stupid and look through my wonderful Purple and Gold Shades! (This is very funny and so improbable if you let it play out.)

1. We beat GA (they lose to FL, oh my)
2. Alabama stays undefeated till we beat them and they win out
2. FLA wins out
3. We blow out Tulane, Ole Miss and Arky
4. We meet FL in SECCG
5. We blow out FL in SECCG
6. Penn State loses in a very close game to OSU on Oct 25th.
7. USC rises due to their "strength" of schedule
8. Texas Falls miserably to Texas Tech or to Okla State, naturally followed by TT and Okla State losing themselves.

Who's left at the top of the heap after all this insanity????

NCG
LSU vs.
USC

This is so improbable, it is funny. LSU doesn't appear to have it all...but the pieces may come together and we could start to dominate. Big wins against GA, ALA, and FL would speak alot!

Geaux Tigers.....(I hope to see LSU in a good bowl game. Everything else is Lagniappe)
