Can he get a medical redshirt? Having him for 2 more years could be huge!!!

Get Well soon Murphy. I think he'll easily get a medical redshirt for this. It could possibly work out better for him in all honesty. It will give him two years at RB not behind Williams and Scott. While Ford and Ridley will be his competition, at least it will be more of a true competition. All my prayers and wishes to the kid.

I thought he looked VERY GOOD. and to hear that about his family. I feel for him. What a loss. Here's hoping the injury is not as bad as we think.

So are we just one injury away from seeing Ford this year?

Man, that sucks for this season, but it could be a blessing in disguise for next year. I wonder if Ford gets on the field now.

I agree that it sucks for this season, but it gives him pretty much a full year to get ready for next year. That should ensure that they don't rush him back and possibly put him at risk. I hope he works hard on his rehab. Knees can be tricky. He was looking really good last night too.

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, Richard!

well this is sad for LSU and Richard Murphy. Does anyone know if he is eligible for a medical redshirt?
