Right now i think above all else our offense plays scared. What I mean by this is that it is obvious that les/stud (or whoever is calling the plays) calls the game to not lose it and i think this is mentality trickling down to our players. With the exception of Ware, Landry, and Copeland our offensive players seem to play timid and try not to make mistakes. What it looks like to me is happening is that it is making our players play slow. In my opinion if the coaches show more confidence in their players with the play calling it will make them respond. With that being said I do have confidence in our offense turning it around and look forward to having the spotlight on us to show the rest of the country we are righting the ship.
Does the rant share my opinion or am I off base here

No question the gameplan gets dialed back after a mistake.
Lee throws a pick against Bama, he gets yanked.
Last Saturday, we moved the ball with short passes the first drive, but then after Mett threw the pick, the gameplan was scaled back and went into "not to lose" mode.

I mean i can only hope that our offense and playcalling can make the big turnaround.... If not it could be a long season... we have way to many athletes on our offense to only be scoring 6 points a game

But yes I agree. But we also have a lot of injuries right now.

At the end of the day we are missing OBJ(atleast his form from last year) and also a big threat such as Randle which i didn't think we would miss as much as we are

I understand that you play to your strength which for us is running but you have to show some confidence in your line to pass block and your quarterback to throw. Mett throws his best balls on deep passes so i think that may be a good option. At the very least it will spread out the D.

Missing Randle and the OBJ we had last year certainly doesn't help but you either have to keep calling their number or find someone that isn't afraid to make the plays. Handcuffing the play calling can only get you so far in this league.

We are at the point in the sseason where we might as well let it lose on offense and sling that rock. Our wide-outs are bound to catch a few balls.

Just a joke for all you tight wads.

fla did the same thing when they could not pass protect, they were just much more effective with their run game. They ran the same play 12 times.
