I live 5 minutes away from the stadium and all we're
getting right now is heavy wind and a little rain. My power
is also on. I don't see this storm being too bad in this area.

LSU is not really the issue. LSU didn't have many issues with Gustav either. It's the entire BR area with the problem. If the city is dealing with major storm aftermath, it won't be able to handled the influx of a gameday crowd.

they really don't. it's like they think it's already passed through the area.

the problem isn't the winds...its the fact that it's gonna sit and shite for so long. baton rouge can barely handle a thunderstorm, much less sustained rains and winds for nearly a full day.

say the thing is finally through baton rouge by thursday night...you have friday to clean up before people come into town for the game saturday. it just can not be done. all I need is Peej to come in here and say there will be football, and i've got this on the lock.

Gustav was not 90 mph sustained either. There was a 91 mph gust at the BR airport was the strongest recorded in the city. The strongest Gustav had sustained were low 60's. Not sure where you are getting your numbers but this storm will not be that much different in winds and much longer in duration compared to Gustav, at least for the city of Baton Rouge.
