CBS losing the SEC they are going to screw the SEC any chance they get.

No, they’re going to try and milk every dollar out of it. They’re much more worried about profits than being spiteful.

that CBS deal paid off ten fold for them I don't blame them for taking their YUGE profit and going home with it, honestly if ESPN gets us it won't feel as special since they'll be promoting other conferences on their channels meanwhile CBS only promoted us

What are the other potential big games?

Does Georgia play BAMA?

Any big out of conference games other than the kickoff classics the first two weeks?

I honestly have no idea, just curious on the boards opinion of whether this will be a night game or not, depends on a lot of factors I suppose.

Two obstacles in the way:

1. Georgia at Bama early in the season. (Guaranteed to be a big game with both teams undefeated tons of eye balls)
2. Clemson plays at Notre Dame 11/7 as well. You would assume NBC would want to make this a night game.

Going to be real interesting to see what happens if CBS doesn’t take Georgia Bama. You would assume both networks would not want their marquee of the game going on at the same time. I’m very intrigued by the dynamics of this lol.

Still think there is a decent chance. I’ll be making the trip no matter what!

There’s like 3 games LSU is competing against for a night game

LSU vs Texas

Bama vs Georgia

LSU vs Florida

Exactly, this one, if it goes night, has the potential to be one of those games that gives the real Death Valley it’s lore.

Doing some research it looks like NBC announces all games in mid-April, which is before CBS announces early season games in Late May. NBC gets first dibs, they will make Clemson ND a night game. Just a question or does CBS want to rival it or play it conservative with UGA BAMA.

UGA Bama feels like a day game for some reason. I also think with the way this year turned out, and it being at Death Valley, they almost have to make it a night game.

What game do you want to go night?

CBS has 2 doubleheader weekends during the season. One weekend has 11 am and 2:30 pm central time games. The other weekend has 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm games. My guess is that they will keep the night slot on hold for Bama-LSU especially if LSU can beat Texas in Week 2.

Another interesting weekend is on October 10. The Auburn-Georgia game has been moved up to that date which is also the same date LSU plays in the Swamp. I believe that may exercise their day time double header option that day. Whichever pair of teams are undefeated would get the 2:30 slot or if all 4 are undefeated then I would expect the LSU-FLA game would be televised at 2:30 and Auburn-UGA be the early slot.

These are the Week 2 SEC games:

Georgia State at Alabama
Arkansas at Notre Dame
Auburn vs. North Carolina (Atlanta)
Kentucky at Florida
East Tennessee State at Georgia
Texas at LSU
Southeast Missouri State at Ole Miss
Mississippi State at North Carolina State
Vanderbilt at Missouri
East Carolina at South Carolina
Tennessee at Oklahoma
North Texas at Texas A&M

CBS does not hold the rights to the ND, NC and OU games. Thus I believe the Texas game will be at 2:30.
