KK, you are a mislead soul. Youre being told by your fellow liberal "freedom fighters" that this guy is the next coming of Christ, yet "racist Biggots in Louisiana" just dont understand that he's our only hope. Tell that to the guy in Washington that probably voted for him, but found himself in a shouting match with....the President of the United States over a basketball game. This guy acts like he's a movie star..not a president. You make me sick for being such a complainer for people speaking their minds on such a simple thread.
I never said a word about you being racist - just biased. If you have a problem with the president's public relations, I would expect that you should have a problem with President Bush's time management as well.
What say you to this article? WAPO Bush Article - 2005.
Let's see how blind your bias makes you.

Simple politics. Indiana sent 11 electorial votes in for Obama while Louisiana sent its nine in for McCain.
+1
However, this is one of the few things that I actually disagree with him on.
Outside of his prediction coming true, Go Obama, the anti Bush!

Dude, nobody said anything about Bush. This discussion is about Obama. Im just stating that public officials should keep their mind on their job, and not spend their time hogging up the camera to give their opinions on sports. I still cant see how you think he's not wasting his and our time.

Oh, I see. I didn't realize that your commentary was completely non-partisan. I should have never made such a rash assumption about someone who accused our president of wanting to be a "rapper" and an "NBA superstar." I'm sure your beef with him is purely about his ESPN segment. Politics plays no part here - I'm sure you were equally as vocal about and disappointed with Bush's time management.
Don't kid yourself.

Bear, the only person being dishonest in this thread is you. Here is the link to the Obama "shouting match":

If he is as good at this as he is at picking Cabinet members LSU should waltz through this one.
I think you're being too tough on the guy. He's got a very difficult job. For starters, it's got to be damned near impossible to find enough honest, tax-paying Democrats to fill an entire Cabinet.

Now this is a funny post.

Look guys, first of all, that Washington Post article is one of the most watered down stories I've ever read. Jim Rome did a segment on it and broke down the story. Regardless, I have no problem with people saying Bush is not any better that Obama in time management. All I am saying is that I think there are more pressing issues to worry about. He has spent alot of time in the world of sports, my opinion (which i am entitled to) is that he has wasted our time on those matters. Sorry this argument went out of control, but thats my unchangeable opinion.

Bear, would you mind explaining to me how the Washington Post story is watered down. They interviewed the man Obama supposedly shouted at, and he provided his view of a seemingly friendly event.
Anyways, you are entitled to your opinion, and if you believe that Obama's participation in sports has adversely affected his work, that is fine by me. I don't think anyone would have really had a problem if you had expressed your opinion in that manner. However, can you really not see why people would get upset when you say things like "if you want to be a rapper, or an NBA superstar, just do that. Don't be president so you can get on your afro-soapbox and waste our time and money."
PS: For the life of me, I can't figure out how to properly quote.

Are you serious ? Look,I didn't vote for him and think he is in way over his head. But this probably took 15 minutes of his time at the most.
Here's some sanity.
I enjoyed it when Bush took the time to host the football team at the White House, and I'm okay with our President filling out a bracket like the rest of us.

This guy never ceases to amaze me. First, he gets in a fight with a Wizards fan, then now he wastes time on March Madness (any time spent on this by the president is ridiculous) during one of the worst recessions of our history. Seriously, if you want to be a rapper, or an NBA superstar, just do that. Don't be president so you can get on your afro-soapbox and waste our time and money.
god I hate people that think they know anything about politics.
What the frick are you doing posting on TD.com when you should be doing your job. I mean, since apparently every human being on the face of the planet should be doing their job 24/7, you're completely fricking slacking. Now go get busy.
