Under. We go 9-3 in 2021 and contend for the SEC in 2022.

Problems look way deeper than that
2017 class won that Natty. 2018 class was the lull especially with chase opting out. As of this week our top 3 recruits from that class opted out. 2019, 2020, and 2021 will all be top 5 classes and I would bet we win 10 games next year. The way deeper issue that you should be referring to is that Les Miles had great classes but failed in the trenches. It took O 3 years to finally have solid line class but still not elite. I believe he is on his way and just needs to tweak his staff a little to contend in the next year or 2.

It'll be next year. I wish people would stop acting stupid and look at things logically.

100% agreed, but that's asking alot, considering all of the mouth breathing idiots that reside on this board.

It depends on multiple factors:
Coaching changes- the current staff cannot deliver the goods.
Recruitment and development, particularly in the trenches and back seven on D
A competent quarterback.
10 regular season wins is a matter of winning the OOC games (includes three gimmes) and going 6-2 in conference. We haven’t done that very often in the past 10 years.

I wonder how many will opt out next year.

So astound us all with this logic.

2017 was the greatest recruiting class in LSU history. Most of those guys are gone, especially the best ones:
Chaisson
Shelvin
Phillips
Queen
Delpit
Vincent
Tyler Taylor
Saahdiq Charles
Clyde
Thomas
Jetts
Also, Brennan is injured.
2018 was a terrible class - just awful. The only stars from that class are also gone:
Kelvin Joseph
Marshall
Chase
Damien Lewis
We have about seven guys left of that class who are actually contributing, but none are great.
I don't think the problems run any deeper than this. We have a shortage of experienced talent. That's it. But people are weird in this way: Give them a problem with an obvious cause, and they will work overtime to invent phantom causes.
