Miles should have been canned after the 2015 season. Before the bowl game, after the bowl game, either way. Then a real search for a replacement should have been conducted. Not the horseshite that went on during the 2016 season.
That's my opinion on it.

Totally agree. We needed that off season to right the ship and make the change and our illustrious AD fricked things up again.

Thats one i cant blame on Alleva. From everything ive read Alleva wanted him out but King overruled him because the financial situation in Louisiana at the time. It would LOOK bad paying that huge buyout.

It was also about optics that year. You might survive three bad losses spread out over the season. Losing 3 in a row....at the end of the season...after a 7-0 start just looks fking bbbaaadddddd...and feels worse because of what might have been. No way we should have lost to Arky/OM.
That was the point where I felt Miles was clearly done.

The running game vs TAM was not bad....47 rushes for 244 yards...decent.

Again, lsu under miles rarely lost to teams that couldnt stop the run. The reason we lost bama, arky and ole miss was because they all had good to great run defenses.

To this day i think trying to throw early against Wisky in 2016 cost us the game. BH started the game like 2 for 13 and was missing on shite that meant to get him in rhythm. O ce we started feeding the running game we came back.
