while I agree in principal....hard to fire a 10-win coach. He's going to have to drop a few more before his seat gets scorching hot.
I'd take 10-3 if just one of those wins was Fricking, fuqing, fapping Bama!

Love these guys and Fabinho and Shaqiri in the MF just add to the fun of watching these guys play!
I've always followed Tottenham/Arsenal but have quickly developed a strong liking for LP.

you made my point....this is why Miles kept his job for so long.

Was on the hottest of hot seats with 5 of last 6 seasons with 10 wins.
So no its not hard firing a 10 win coach. We justifiably just did it.
Please explain why youre so optimistic about the offense in 2019.
Isnt Tommy Moffit still on staff?

Which is why people will say the bar has been lowered. Can you at least see that?

Wouldn't matter the because that means someone else goes to the SECC, most likely. There are scenarios where we would go with a 10-3 season. But I'm more interested in the SECC and the playoff appearance than beating Bama.

It also proves its not hard. Winnings just 10 games every year here isnt acceptable. We all agreed on that pre orgeron.

Just lost three straight badly. Had he lost to A$M he would have been fired
Miles was not fired for losing 3 games a season.

Remember how you told people not to assume why O was hired?
Please tell us why Miles was fired.
Was it because 2 of his last 3 offenses were really productive throughout the season?
You saying Miles wasnt fired for wins and losses is so you can ckaim 3 and 4 loss seasons under O atent fireable offenses.
Everyone knows that had we not lost 3 and 4 games a year and had a triple digit offense, miles would still be here.

This is his "put up or shut up" year. Everything is set up for him to succeed. There will be no valid excuses after this season. He has his qb, and a lot of talent returning on both sides.
On paper, it should be his year. Although he deserves a bit credit for keeping LSU football relevant thus far, I'll wait until the football season is over to crown him, because that is when we will know what kind of a coach he really is. With that being said, I am excited about the season.

Yeah if youre gonna move the goal posts for O. Having 10 wins as your ceiling isnt acceptable at lsu. If you think it is youre part of the problem.
If youre fine with 10 wins as your ceiling at lsu then we shouldve never fired miles.

Let you see that we just fired a coach whose ceiling was 10 wins?
The coach with a vastly more productive offense than anything O has put out in 2 of his(miles)last 3 years?
If 10 win ceilings are fine then you shouldve wanted to keep Miles forever.
Youre really trying to sit here and say 10 wins is now this celebratory achievement?

Some of the posters here have had some sort of personal grudge against him since he was hired and I don’t understand why.
That's a simplistic way of looking at it. Most everyone on this board knew it was time to move on from Miles, but that has an implied expectation that the next hire would be a safe choice that has proven he can win games.
The top choice was Herman one year and Jimbo the following year. Our inept administration made sure those hires were off the table and they went with the most "losingest" head coach in Ole Miss history.
The skepticism of the hire, combined with the wall of anonymity that TD provides, created an angry, vocal fanbase. To be fair, they have not been proven wrong that Orgeron has yet to deliver anything that Miles was capable of delivering. Now that the deed is done, I hope that Orgeron does better than Miles in every way possible. I have yet to find a Tigers fan (that is not trolling) that does not share that sentiment.

I didn't want him fired in 2015
I did after losing 5 of 9 games however.
Recruiting is the most important element in college football. I would take 10 wins with an occasional shot at a title anyway.

So you chose 2 different seasons which could've resulted in back to back 10 win seasons?
Never change Rodger
