Wrong
Benton County sheriff's sergeant, on a sweep to track down sex offenders who let their registrations lapse, located one at Gill Coliseum, the heart of Oregon State's bucolic campus. It was Luke Heimlich , the ace left-hander.
Yea, okay, sport.

Don’t let the facts get in the way. It’s too fun watching you get all indignant.

Your fricking registration can’t lapse, if you were never registered or ordered to register, smart guy.

As part of a plea deal, reached when Heimlich was 16, one of the charges was dropped and he was placed on two years’ probation, took court-ordered classes and had to register for five years as a Level 1 sex offender, a designation the state of Washington uses for someone considered of low risk to the community and unlikely to become a repeat offender.
quote:
Heimlich’s case might never have been made public if not for the fact that, years later, while pitching for Oregon State, he failed to update his whereabouts for a state registry of sex offenders, which led to a police citation, which in turn tipped reporters to his case.
You right. He's 22 now, so the 5 years have passed.
quote:
"It felt like a betrayal," said Madeline Gorchels, 24, who is so devoted to Beavers baseball that she followed the team to Omaha last June for the College World Series and slept in a tent. "Goss Stadium had been a safe place for me, and suddenly it was tainted by the worst associations of my life."
Dang.
quote:
"There's nothing worse than being a sex offender or a child molester," says Elizabeth Letourneau, an expert on juvenile sex offenses at Johns Hopkins. "You could be a murderer and you don't face the same kind of social opprobrium that you do if you're a known sex offender."
So if he's no longer a sex offender, he's still a child molester.. I mean he did plead guilty and the details are pretty graphic.
Just because he's on your team doesn't mean you have to defend him. He would not be on an SEC team, regardless how good he is.
Any ways, enough of that. Hope LSU rocks his world tonight.

Pretty sure “SEX OFFENDER” is a life-time deal.

I hope you get banned for continuing to post stupid shite.
You hope I get banned for advocating for our fan base to not spew disgusting ad hominem attacks against an opposing player? It's terrible sportsmanship and is going way beyond acceptable competitive talk.

At the same time as the one degrading him as a person. I'm hoping it's in preparation for an authoritative "drop it".

We get it Luke, log off... you have a game tomorrow.

We're probably both asking for the hammer going back and forth like this, but I would like to point out the fact that I haven't issued any ad hominem attacks against any poster.
Also, my post history and 2 degrees from LSU are compelling evidence that I am not Luke Heimlich nor anyone else affiliated with Oregon state.
I'm going to be drinking Abita and hoping the tigers knock him out of the game early. Because I love my alma mater and want our team to win, not because I harbor some rabid hatred for a kid because of a story I only know half of and is none of my business anyway.
All I ask is that we show some sportsmanship and keep our discussions on the diamond.

He is human scum, as is anyone who defends him. You are someone who is actively defending a child molester. Someone who repeatedly abused a 4 year old girl over the span of two years. Go look in a mirror and remind yourself of that. You are a person the world would be much better off without.

Come down off your sanctimonious high horse. When this kid took the plea deal, he signed up for this. Maybe he and his family got some really poor advice from their lawyer, but the assumptions come with openly declaring your guilt in a case like this. In the exchange for not going to jail for a much longer period of time, he got branded with this label and all that comes with it. No matter what, when you plead guilty to a sex crime as a juvenile, there is a good chance the details will leak eventually.
OSU absolutely deserves all the heat they get over this and every bit of negative publicity that comes their way. Do you think for one second that they would go through this for a benchwarmer or walk on? Please. If this kid wasn’t a star with major league talent, he would have been thrown over as soon as the story broke last year. I hope everyone they face in the tournament let’s them have it and I hope ESPN won’t shut up about it.
If an LSU coach did this, I would feel the same way. And even if an LSU player protested their innocence as in this situation, I wouldn’t want them anywhere near our program with a sex crime guilty plea- no matter who, NO MATTER WHAT.

#JeremyHill
Disclaimer: I'm not condoning the OSU players actions, and tbh, if he did those things to a 4 year old child, he shouldn't be playing baseball because he should have been put in front of a firing squad.
But dont say "no matter who, no matter what".. because sex crimes can be erroneous and exaggerated. And you know you didn't say shite about Hill.

dont see how you can compare the 2 situations
and if you cant see the difference between a 15yr old molesting a 4 year old for 2 years, and a 14 year old giving a 17 year old a consensual BJ, then this topic is lost on you.
