He is the first QB to be drafted that LSU signed out of high school since Matt Flynn (also a 7th round pick). An 18 year drought is over.

Probably the norm going forward with the portal unless other guardrails are put in place. (Having transfer qb's) I just noticed Pavia from Vanderbilt went undrafted. Is Nuss better than him? Obviously, he is more mobile. He won the 2025 SEC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the SEC in passing touchdowns (29), completion percentage (70.6%), and passing efficiency rating (170.4). I'm sure someone will pick him up as an UDFA. Maybe it was off the field stuff, his comp was Johnny M. I read somewhere.

Pavia’s game does not translate to pro football at all. He was a very good college player, but he’s really undersized and doesn’t have an explosive arm. The style of play in the NFL and the speed and size of the athletes doesn’t give him a very high ceiling.

His future is in something other than sports.
