Shocking, another personal attack.
In what way is Hannagriff horrible. This time without the personal attack. Use your words, I know you can.

That's why he gets so pissed if you mention Jack Hunt on a call in show, it'd be different if he messed up and admitted it and was a good sport,
Id prob get pissed to if someone continually brought up a frick up I made 15 years ago.

How about the call yesterday when the ball went over Yaz's head in right:
"It's over his head....Ibarra...he stopped...now he throws...buh...guh...run scores anyway!"
1. Did the ball go over Yaz's head?
2. Did he stop?
3. Did he throw?
4. Did the run score in spite of the throw?
Do you really mean that you couldn't follow THAT?

Being a 40 yr old Atlanta Braves fan, I grew up with Pete Van Wieren, Ernie Johnson Sr., Skip Caray, John Sterling and Don Sutton. by comparison-ALL other basebaball announcers suck. I can't listen to anyone.
I grew up listening to Dizzy Dean. In comparison most other announcers are colorless and boring.

Can McDonald do football?

Are you implying he painted a clear picture of what happened on the play and how the run came in? Seriously, are you related to Hawthorne? What is your obsession with blindly defending him?

dont care, they can hire someone else for football. Far more people listen to baseball games on the radio as opposed to football because almost all football games are on tv or can be watched online

I hear the Hawthorne haters say that he is a homer and too involved. Hanagriff is the same way. His called strike three call is absolutely horrible(it sounds like forced excitement). I have also heard him make the same mistakes y'all call Jim out on.

I understood what happened? Could you really not follow that?
What other grevious errors did Jim make that disrupped your Karma?

That's it? That is all you have to offer: the old" are you related?" ploy?

What do you hope to achieve?

Good and hopely we will not have to listen to you complain bout your inabilty to keep up with a baseball score you already knew since you followed the 1st inning via TV.

I love the insults "LSU fans" hurl at their own.
Stay classy, basher.

Oh Jesus. He'd be calling the last out from Walk On's. Prices on scotch would skyrocket in Baton Rouge from newfound demand.

I was watching the game and was thinking wtf when that play happened. Just like when rhymes missed 2nd on Friday. Those plays happen.
How did he call fosters gun at home?

It's not a personal attack.

So you understood the part where Kemp threw the ball in the dugout allowing the run to score? Because he bumbled like a retard and left that part out. It doesn't ruin my day like hawthorne defenders like to think, but if you ask my opinion, I'll tell you he's not good at his job

This is not one of my criticisms of him. I don't want complete dissonance. I think this is more the excuse that the defenders use for his bitterness and negativity. I don't think any of the people criticizing have brought this up.
quote:That's fine. I think Hawthorne's Home Run call flat out awful, but that's personal preference, so I left that out of my objective criticisms.

I have heard Charlie make mistakes, but he's never been obstinate about correcting them. He's usually self effacing and will laugh it off after correcting it.
But Charlie brings a much better attitude and more knowledge of baseball. That's why folks are more willing to bear his mistakes.

You made a comment about his appearance in a thread about radio broadcasts. How is that not a personal attack?

yea id much rather charlie but the jim lovers call him boring. I prefer a more toned down cleaner called game if i can't watch it. also charlie does a good job with keeping people up to date on score, outs, where runners are and such
