Fighting insecurity when the Bammers and others claimed that we backed in and didn't deserve to win.

Bama needed to dust the intercepted ball & give it back to the home team to win this year.

No! You see the beauty of it is all 7 times - Saban beat Bama!! Either directly or indirectly by breathing Louisiana Air and letting it waft over the newer recruits from 2005-2007.
ETA : But seriously these last couple of seasons have been quite disappointing and I am waiting and hoping to return the arse-beating to Bama,OleMiss and the others

if you lose to ole miss two years in a row, if you lose to bama two years in a row, if you lose to arkansas two years in a row, if you lose to fla two years in a row, then we must have a great coach,.......NOT

Life is too short to stress over the little things like calling timeouts when the game is on the line.
Or even when the game is not on the line. I'm starting to come around to Les' way of thinking. Who the hell needs a timeout? Only the weak. That's who.

Fixed it for you.
Ask Pete Carroll what it is like to start a freshman at QB. When are you idiots going to wake up and realize those teams had superior QB play due to our inexperience.
Inexperienced college geek QBs = loses.
It's our inexperienced geek football players who are the problem, not the coaches.

I think that the NFL has banned Saban after what he did at Miami.

OK if you want to by the record - in which case this 2 out of 3 is BS because by the real record and history you have been the traditional 2 dollar whore we hire for the whipping 34-19-2!

I don't think he meant it about blaming or not blaming JJ but I think it might have been that it would have been Miles' responsibility to ensure that if RP were kicked out then we should have had a capable backup for that year.
Again I might be wrong.

"saban will be coaching for another 10 years"
i don't think he will. that would put him at age 70 and i just don't see him making it that long (as a HC). everyone's make up is different though and i could be wrong. as soon as he wins a NC, i think he'll back off.

Now that Urban has retired and Saban looking like he could go at any minute, does LSU have the last laugh with a coach who may be able to outlast Paterno?
Anybody can outlast Paterno if a school is dumb enough to keep them that long. And no, a team that has managed only a .500 record in conference play for the past two years and hasn't come within shouting distance of a division title, let alone a conference or national title, does not have the last laugh over the 2008 and 2009 SEC (and possibly national) champions who have gone a combined 31-1 against the rest of the conference in that time.
I want a coach who gives us a top-flight elite program. If he wins three division titles, two SEC titles and two national titles in five years without ever finishing outside the top 25, I don't care if he burns out and we have to replace him with another coach who will do the same. It beats the hell out of going .500 in the SEC with a coach who is "chill" enough to keep going .500 for decades.
