Look at their schedule and envision LSU playing that schedule. 12-0 for sure. BTW, why was rival USC dropped from that schedule?

SC dropped them. Moving to the B1G and playing that "BRUTAL" 9-game conference schedule + ND was too much for them.

USC dropped Notre Dame because Lincoln Riley is doing everything possible to “schedule” his way into the Playoffs. He weaseled out of the Ole Miss game and tried his hardest to get out of the LSU game.

That said, they have a decent schedule this year. Oregon, Washington, Penn State, Ohio State, Indiana, Wisconsin.

Had Notre Dame remained on their schedule, that would be three top 5 teams.
