Since the only semi meaningful game we play early is UW, those of you who want ESPN to give us the Bama treatment will be waiting awhile. Of course, Bama did dominate us in the title game. So not really surprised they are getting love. USC has a ridiculously stacked team, particularly on offense. They lack depth but if they can stay healthy, they will be tough to beat. And remember, if they beat Oregon twice (really their only in season tests) and make the title game, they will have 40+ days to get healthy. Florida State plays a pathetic schedule and has an SEC caliber defense. It is a very reasonable prediction that they run the table.

All a long way of saying, the Tigers are in great shape if they take care of business. But there are other teams with easier roads and the talent to take care of their own business. There is no point from a national media perspective to expect much positive LSU chatter until we emerge from 11/3 undefeated.

I just switched to gameday on the radio and it took three seconds before TM7's name was mentioned.

It's also pretty disgusting the coverage they're giving Penn State for their "comeback story against all odds" angle. They should have shut the program down for two years and given every student athlete an additional year of eligibility.

This is one of the only times I've been happy to watch a ND game.

I don't have much interest in gameday this year.

That's on top of them talking about TM7 I am sure.

To be honest, I may not even watch any of the LSU games this year. Will probably lose all of them by 4 touchdowns because we don't have Mathieu.....

I am not sure I can stand to watch the Bama worship and BCS highlights that will no doubt dominate the show today.

With the media hype and everyone tired of sec dominance, does anyone else think the fix is on for USC this year?

What kind of "fix" are you talking about? Do you think the games will be thrown so USC goes undefeated?

quote:

Florida State, really? We hear every year that they are back. Only to see them lose to Boston College or Maryland by 3 touchdown in week 5

Exaggerate much? Last year they lost 4 games by 10, 5, 5 and 3. The first 3 their QB got hurt in the first and missed the next 2 .

Their Preseason rankings: 2011 - 6: 2010 - 20 : 2009 - 18: 2008 - Not Ranked: 2007: 19

So once in the last 5 years they started in the top 10 and failed to live up to it. But don't let facts get in the way of a good hate fest.
