JRock's late game TD pass to Early Doucet.

Which I'm pretty sure was like 4th and 10 from the 40 yard line with LSU about to lose.

That fake punt sure fricking helped.

There are no current coaches who have Saban's hardware. That's unfair just to compare Miles to him. Saban is the best in the business. I thought that 3-4 years ago and my feelings have been vindicated. Miles is still a damn good coach.

I think Les is a good recruiter. That's what he brings to the table, because he has shown everybody over and over that he sucks as a game day coach. The LSU program,facilities and location will always provide us with great recruits and 10+ win seasons year in year out in spite of Miles' decisions on staff and on gamedays, but please don't tell me that Les Miles is an intelligent football coach.....

No, they won't. This argument is tired and flawed. It doesn't work like that for Texas, didn't work like that for Florida in the Zook years, hasn't worked like that at Georgia, and won't here. LSU is probably equal to, but not on a level above those programs in facilities or location, yet somehow has managed better talent and more 10+ win seasons since Miles became the head coach at LSU. The recruits won't show up for just anyone.

I feel like the ones that know him, know hes a good coach and a good man. Even guys like herbstreit has warmed up to him. Hes been here fir ganeday numerous times and has talked with him numerous times. The guys that have never spike with him or ever set foot in br are the ones that dont give him his due credit.

We are recruiting at a clip LSU never has before. He has to be doing something rt. Hriring the rt coaches is part of it.

I believe you are being sarcastic. Sometimes difficult to tell on this forum. However, if not, let me reiterate that the fake punt referred to earlier had absolutely nothing to do with the ultimate victory. It occurred with about ten minutes left in the first quarter, the drive resulted in zero points, and in fact culminated in a mediocre punt that gave ASU the ball in great field position at their 41 yard line:

"L 1-10 L03 LSU drive start at 12:30 (1st).
L 1-10 L03 Joseph Addai rush for 2 yards to the LSU5 (James, Robert).
L 2-8 L05 JaMarcus Russel pass complete to Craig Davis for 5 yards to the LSU10.
L 3-3 L10 JaMarcus Russel pass incomplete to Early Doucet.
L 4-3 L10 Chris Jackson pass complete to Ronnie Prude for 12 yards to the LSU22,
1ST DOWN LSU (Barrett, Josh).
L 1-10 L22 Joseph Addai rush for loss of 1 yard to the LSU21 (Robinson, Dale).
L 2-11 L21 JaMarcus Russel pass incomplete to Craig Davis.
L 3-11 L21 JaMarcus Russel pass incomplete to Craig Davis.
L 4-11 L21 Patrick Fisher punt 39 yards to the ASU40, Richardson, T. return 1 yards to
the ASU41 (Daniel Francis)."

I was. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

LSU basically was in that game because of the 2 blocked kicks for TDs you mentioned and won the game on a 4th down Hail Mary from ASU's 39 yard line.

It had nothing to do with Les and his gambling ways or whatever the poster was insinuating.

define "we" Charlie.

dummy's don't make the kind of money and amass the record that CLM does and has. if you're looking for a weakness, someone could probably make a case that he is too damn loyal to his subordinates. wow, the man is loyal, displays loyalty to his staff and teaches the concept of loyalty to his kids....let's fire him now!

Les don't give a rat's arse about what espn says.

That's so stupid you make me

LSU 10 win years:

LM=6 in eight years
NS=2 in five years
GD= 1 in five years

Total 10 win years in LSU history=13 in 120 years.

The clowns that run wild here are so full of shite.

I don't disagree with your point, but just pointing out 10 win seasons is flawed logic.

Les' record benefits from a 12 game schedule.

Too certain about your own logic. Ignorance is also bliss.

People used to bitch about Saban too. 2004 season was a bitchfest. Those who though that a winning NC meant blowing out all comers whined about Saban not doing a good job, focused on NFL etc. Should have taken bets from all those who thought (in 2000) Saban would be run out of LSU in 2 years.

I say the hell with all of them.
If word ever got out that CLM wanted to leave LSU, he would be first on every list of any top school that had an opening.
I sometimes think the anti-Les Miles crowd is really an anti- Louisiana crowd.
Again -they can all go to hell...he's a great coach in the toughest division of the toughest conference in college football...he wins, runs a clean program and the players enjoy playing for him.
That's good enough for me.

the impression of how amazingly unprepared his team looked against BAMA in the NC game
hard to argue about the way LSU fans feel about that game. If not for that game 2011 was an awesome season. Arky and Georgia were superb games to recall.Bama in regular season was also a thrilling game. 1/9 certainly taints memory of an awesome 13-0 regular season. People act like it was an 0-13 season.

and his unwillingness to implement any in-game adjustments
Both Miles and J.Lee have been tight lipped about the circumstances. I hoped that loose canon like Bobby Hebert or T-Bob might blurt some insiders view. Has not happened yet.

It may be OK to blame Les because it's hard for people to fathom his salary.

His play calling in the past has kept a lot of teams in games with us when should not have been.

What sort of dumbass certainty is that. But for Les the team should have won game X by 3 TDs. But we only won by 1 TD later in the fourth Qtr.

Confidence in hypothetical results defines the rant.

CLM will be blood thirsty this fall. As long as he stays out of the way and lets Cameron run the offense, we're going to surprise some folks this fall.
