Ah great, another fearful diatribe about how LSU can never replace Miles and is destined to fail once he leaves.

This underscores your problem. No one said he CAN'T be replaced, but you don't live in the real world. You live in a hypothetical world. Where the only team that exists is LSU and all of LSU's decisions occur in a vacuum. Pointing out that some better coach isn't going to be hired here does not mean LSU can't get a coach or is not an appealing job. It''s just the reality of how coaching changes go. Since 1980. the only coaches that have replaced a NC winning coach and won a NC at the same school are : Jimmy Johnson, Dennis Erickson and Les Miles. That's it. The point that eludes you is not that LSU can't replace Miles, but the it is very difficult to do and history shows the next guy will probably do worse. I notice in all these Miles bashing posts of yours you have not named the coach or coaches that you know would do better. It's easy to sit there and be a critic when you have no solutions.

Are you kidding me? Half of TD.com can climb off the couch and coach this team to 10 wins.

Most of Miles' critics want Saban or Chip Kelly, guys that will never come here. There are some real idiots who want Peterson or Patterson, and I don't really know what to tell these guys.

Great post.

Get ready for Miles haters to come and blast you though.
Not me. I think the OP is pretty much spot on with his viewpoints expressed. And yet that is partly the root of the frustration that gets a lot of LSU fans dubbed "negas" by the virtuous ones around these parts. Because we do see the dumbness of some of this otherwise pretty gifted coach (Miles) and we think it wouldn't take much to fix the problems (like hiring a for-real OC now) on offense. But why, oh why, doesn't this great guy HC (did I mention I believe he's a super-recruiter, too?) see it as something that needs serious attention sooner, rather than later? His slowness to act on obvious problems is maddening.

I don't want him replaced; I want him to fix the problems.

Absolutely, unless we are satisfied with two losses every year. Maybe Charley Mac really is back?

don't forget the okie lite and west virginia coaches. they have their teams on the cusp of winning it all every year, never make time mgt mistakes and are very good public speakers.
