Looking at the numbers from the past 3 years..JJ only dominates the numbers against teams JL doesn't play against(Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Arkansas). I'm still working out some numbers, but I'll should be able to post stats shortly.

Well Choctaw, for most of us who have been watching the offense for the past three years, we feel that way about both QB's. Not just one. The ability to be objective is a plus. Bring on Mett.

i don't know why....JJ just never worried me as much as Lee in passing situations. I guess i never got over '08

These are 3 year stats against UGA,MSU,UF,Aub,Bama. The reason for this is JJ played against Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and Arkansas whereas JL did not. I also removed South Carolina and Tennessee to help Jefferson since he didn't play against USC, and played terrible against UT.

Jefferson: 1,281 Yds, 6 TD, 4 Int
Lee: 1,410 Yds, 12 Td, 11 Int

Most of us haven't. Can't get over '10 either. Both were shitty. Except for you and a few other immediate player haters/worshipers, we area all ready for a change.

Hey I would take Lee if forced to choose between JJ and Lee only you know the lesser of two evils. But your right Lee in 08 and JJ in 10 were incredibly bad.

My choice is Mett over both by a good bit.

I'm ready. I'd just rather wait til '12 and let Mett get a little experience first. Miles was forced to throw Lee and JJ to the wolves in '08 and that didn't turn out so well.

Mettenberger has been out of HS for two years now. He cannot possibly be worse than we had last year.

We all know JJ will get the start and play until hurt or he graduates. It's the one thing that tempers the chances that this team wins the NC. The rest of the team is NC worthy IMO.

did George Jefferson have to wait a year before he crossed the Deleware River to kill the French?

meh...if JJ has a '09 type season with the o-line he'll have this year there's a good chance we win the west and SEC. Hell...if he would've had an '09 type season last year we probably win the SEC.

No...but he did get grounded for a year after chopping down the apple tree.

Now include rushing yards and TDs.
I think it's been established that Lee is a better passer, but not so much so that it negates Jefferson's legs.

A little better defense in 2008 and LSU doesn't have those losses. LSU went 7-5 that year.

3 Losses to JL(UF, UGA, Bama)
2 Losses to JJ(OM, Ark)

Should have beat Bama(27-21) even though JL had 4 Int's..and Ark was a 1 point game. So 2008 was bad more so because the defense gave up 39 PPG on average in our 5 losses.

Yeah, because rushing TD's show a lot when certain Qb's are taken out of the game and others put in on the 2 yard line.

I'll go with passing since we're talking Qb not Rb.

JJ had decent stats but still didn't move the offense. Wasn't totally his fault as the running game was mediocre, but throwing for 4 yards when you need 6 doesn't cut it.

Until they prove otherwise, both Lee and JJ are spot players. Haven't seen anything to indicate otherwise on a consistent basis.

because they were on the field 70% of the time.
