Per Michael Cauble:

IARP rep says they investigated accusations in Yahoo article

And they DID NOT find credible evidence of cash payments to prospective player or family.

Did find that a permissible offer to coach of perspective player

This is why you probably shouldn't tank your program and fire the coach because of some two-bit yahoo.com writer. "But he wanted to save the football program!" Right?

If only there were someone that has been saying since the very first day that the NCAA did not have usable evidence to get Wade on the serious charges. Remember what I said, the NCAA published a letter that accused him of offering 11 players impressible benefits. I told everyone when that happened, it was a clear sign that could not prove their case and they were trying to win the PR battle.

They got Wade on smaller issues, improper contact with a parent (I believe this was actually self reported when they ran into the Watford family at a restaurant after a HS game), not reporting the blackmail attempt, and then asking a former player to help him recruit.
