I'm really happy that it looks like LSU has turned the corner on this away game problem. They have won 3 of their last 4 away from the PMAC and hopefully come out strong at Moody.

I can't wait for this game.

On Paper you would think think this should be a win for SMU- Seasoned Coach, deeper bench, better defense and a quick guard against a team that no longer has a Garret Temple shutdown player.

However, this is a Dale Brown Scripted game. DB would win this game- so if JJ has any DB motivation in him- we can win this game.

It will take another outing as we played last game and playing until the last whistle.

Slacking on defense will lead to an LSU defeat

After the 1970 NIT Final Four loss to Army and our buddy Bob Knight,I'm not positive LSU has played there.

Yeah, that was the last time I could find via a quick google search/the top of my head. Hard to believe we would have never played there in the 80's. But I was born in '88, so what do I know?

LSU didn't play in the NIT again until 1982 and by that time they had changed the format where teams didn't go to New York until 'the final four'. Until 1977, all games in the NIT were at MSG.

It'd be nice to win another one. Hope the guys have some fire in them.

It would be great.

But, honestly, I'd like to just see another solid all-around effort like against USF and want to see more good stuff out of Jarell. And I really hope Mickey plays better than he did against USF. Just want to see the guys who will be around next year continue to grow and I want to see a sustained, 40-minute effort.

I have a hard time believing they won't. It's gonna be a packed house against a pretty damn good squad.

I had forgotten about that. It was the preseason NIT.

What a disaster that year was. Lost 15 of 16, with the only win coming against McNeese, including 12 losses to start the SEC season.

i remember expecting us to compete with uconn, ended up getting raped by them and that uconn team turned out to suck in their own right.
