If LSU NIL spending for men's basketball is really near bottom of SEC, it is appropriate. We have a coach near the bottom of SEC in ability. We have an administrative hierarchy that doesn't care about the product enough to get a better coach deserving of a big NIL budget.

Name worse SEC men's basketball coaches than McMahon. Few, if any, IMO.
