Has there been any word on how the divisions in the SEC will be set up next year.

W: TAMU. E: MU. No word on how this affects cross-division opponents.

There is some talk about a 9 game SEC schedule. That would hurt chances of SEC going to BCSCG. Stick with 8 in my opinion. Drop permanent cross division games and rotate 2 teams from other division every 2 years.

defeats the whole purpose of Missouri going to the east. I.e. Bama has to play Tennessee and Auburn every year.

Then Bama and Auburn should just go to the east and give the west A&M and Mizzou.

That would put 8 in the East and 6 in the West.

We would need to take Kentucky or some other East team and send them back to the West to even it out.

Sounds good to me. We'd own that division forever.

Yeah, how about we take USCe to the West so it would look like this:

South Carolina
Texas A&M
Arkansas
Missouri
Ole Miss
State
LSU

Almost 80 years of tradition? You may as well just kick LSU out of the SEC.

While I agree that it would be more difficult, the PAC-12 plays nine conference games and has been for the last few years before they expanded. Definitely wouldn't hurt the SEC's image if they went to nine conference games, but it would hurt every other year for home game revenue.

I'm sure Kentucky will conveniently be taken off LSU schedule

2012 Sec for LSU:
At Fla (permanent east opponent)
At Auburn
At Ark
At Kentucky (1 rotating east opponent)
Bama home
Miss home
Miss St home
Texas A&M home

Mizzou will be put in the East with Ark as their permanent West opponent

BINGO

No need to put another top 20 team in the west with LSU, Al, ARK and AU.

Bobby, UGA did not play Arkansas either this year. What a chickenshit schedule!

I heard we were going to be by ourselves in the West and everybody else would be in the East which would give us ample chance to beat everybody's arse once and one lucky team to get it a second time in the SECCG. "Down Side", if you want to look at it that way, is our season will be 8 months long to give us ample time to wax everybody's arse in the SEC East and still take care of a couple of those juicy OOC games we enjoy so much.......Just a rumor.

I think they should eliminate the permanent opponent from the other division and rotate 2. Why should we have to play Florida every year? Ole Miss is the only easy game in the west. The east has Vandy, Kentucky, and Tenn
