QB is our number 1 problem. What Burrow done to get a pass. He’s been bad.

Mr. Ohio Football 4* redshirt junior came in and edged him out. Not too too much of a black eye on our redshirt freshman. I wouldn't write him off just yet. Lolol
it has nothing to do with Burrow beating him out.

It's all because the coaches saw that Brennan didn't have it during the spring, when all the stars were aligned for Brennan to take over, and he couldn't.

That's why the coaches ran out looking for a transfer. It wasn't like Brennan was the man and Burrow just came here and beat him out.

The coaches knew after spring that Brennan wasn't the guy.

I keep saying MB is gonna be great. Mr friend keeps sending me this. Miss HSFB is weak. Only time Rockachaws played anyone decent was vs Breaux Mart in 2016 and MB had horrid game and they got drowned.

Burrow has won the job. Brennan has regressed physically at least.

view that the opposite. Brennan probably has the superior arm talent, but is raw in terms of development, both physically and mentally.
Burrow is probably close to his peak, and I doubt he'd be much better next year. We might have less drops, and maybe a better line, but that's probably the only things that would improve his stats.

That said, I think Burrow holds the job, unless the team collapses down the stretch this year. He's been "good enough" to win a bunch of games, and you know you have Brennan in reserve if needed.
Burrow, on the other hand... he transferred away from Ohio St to play. He's not a pro prospect, his passing career ends 2019 no matter where. If he loses this spot, he might well transfer to a FCS team close to home to finish it out

I'm bookmarking this post. Burrow is going to surprise a lot of people next year. He's been playing all year without an offensive line.

Burrow isn’t great but he’s good enough.

He needs an OC who knows how to help him out thought.

Hopefully you upvoted yourself and there aren't two people in the world that believe this

Why is it so hard to believe?

Not saying he will never be the starter, but it isn’t crazy to think he won’t be. Or has recruiting fallen off so bad that he will be the only option when JB leaves?

He isn’t a redshirt freshman. He’s a true sophomore redshirting this year because he isn’t close to being ready to play.

Newsflash squaw, there's an ocean of difference between "good" and "all-time leader".

I wrote this:

redshirt freshman

Because it was completely unnecessary to say all this:

quote:

He’s a true sophomore redshirting this year.

Since hes a redshirt sophomore next year regardless of how you type out his title this year.

But thank you for getting it straight for me and holding me accountable for my egregious error.

If Brennan is not ever starter we have other problems, he was one of top High school QBs in the National broke tons of Brett farve records, and finished and major QB camp rating out just barely...... wait for it Tua. Oklahoma State and Texas Tech were all over him. He is smart and works hard and could throw for 400 yards a camp in big 12.

Yeah he is skinny kid, so ducking what

Exactly. By no means am I saying Burrow=Tua. But would Tua be putting up those same numbers behind this offensive line and philosophy
Absolutely.

Tua behind this LSU OL, wouldn't be nearly the QB he's showing at Bama.

Burrow is definitely good enough to win an SEC West Championship, but it would take a mass infusion of 4 and 5 star OL's from all over the USA that come from Passing Offenses to renovate this OL overnight. (I'm doubtful that this will happen, but waiting to see who they recruit and sign)

Don't want to hear any "OL Injury Excuse Pump BS" either. It's football, there will always be injuries. It's part of the game. LSU has to elevate the OL recruiting standards to an entirely different level from a physical/mental talent standpoint.

Hate this post all you want but in todays game, that’s just the way it is.
agreed. Usually if a QB has "it" he shows it quickly.

it was before that. Whoever we got as a transfer was going to start. O knew our 3 QBs in the spring were bad, thus the reason he dashed out looking for a transfer.

And he wasn't looking for a transfer to compete for the job - he was looking for a starter.
