I don't think it's as easy as you think to get Ohio state to play LSU or Bama

Well, we played them. Yes, it was the BCSNG but we played them.

Play the other ones I mentioned. Stanford, OSU, OU even. I would think Stanford would jump at the exposure of playing Bama.

The point I'm trying to make is that Bama's OOC opponents, for the most part, have been pretty ridiculous. True, it's hard to pick when a team would be firing on all cylinders but picking a team that hasn't been that great is much easier than one that could give you fits.

Other than UWV, who are their OOC opponents next season? I'm really asking, I don't check their schedule.

don't be stupid....your argument is OOC reg season.

FYI...Bama has last play Ohio St 1995..lsu 1988

OU bama 2003...lsu has never played them OCC regular season.

Since you are riding their jocks...you suck at this.

It's a couple years away so we'll all find out in due time.

Whose jokes?

Shouldn't you be running back to the SEC rant?

This thread can go on and on with this and there's no point. We'll see in due time who schedules who.

We scheduled WVU when they were good. Unfortunately, they kind of suck arse right now.

Wisconsin in 2015.

Just admit, you are full of shite and Bama OOC is comparable to almost any SEC team.

Another deflection.

I posted your quote. I didn't edit out when I stated Clemson.

Run back to the SEC rant.

We'll see who schedules who. Like I said, when all this "we and they play so and so", is done, nothing has currently changed so there's no point.

I was just trying to talk, talk, about what the OP posted. You're the one who turned it into a personal attack.

Sorry if you disagree. Call me FOS or whatever if it makes you feel better.

Oklahoma is on a future schedule, IIRC 2017. But that's besides the point. LSU doesn't have to apologize to ANYONE, much less Alabama, for it's OOC schedule.

We've not only consistently played one of, if not the toughest OOC schedules, we've won them all.

Longest OOC regular season winning streak in the country.

You like apples? How you like those apples?

Historical rivalries such as Alabama-Tennessee and Auburn-Georgia survived the chopping block as the SEC voted to keep the eight-game conference schedule that will include six games against division opponents and two games against non-division opponents. One of the non-division opponents will be a permanent annual rivalry game. Others include: Arkansas-Missouri, LSU-Florida, Ole Miss-Vanderbilt, Mississippi State-Kentucky and Texas A&M-South Carolina.

It isn't. It's hard to get 'BCS' opponents period. We should have went to a 9 game slate.

You seem to have forgotten we played West Virginia twice. Which meant, in some years, we went above and beyond what the compliance would have been. We played them in 2011 and 2010.

quote:

Just for kicks I looked up alabama and LSU's recent Non sec BCS games, looks like they have played more, here's the opponent, year and the opponents final record:

2013: LSU-TCU (4-8); Bama-VT (8-5)
2012: LSU-wash(7-6); Bama-Michigan(8-5)
2011: LSU-Oregon (12-2); Bama - penn st (9-4)
2010: LSU-UNC (8-5); Bama-penn st (7-6)
2009: LSU-wash(5-7); Bama-VT (10-3)
2008: lsu- (no BCS non conf); Bama-Clemson (7-6)
2007: LSU-VT (11-3); Bama/FSU(7-6)

Also LSU played west virg in 2011 and Bama played duke

dont bring facts into this

Fact: Bama has played 1 OOC top 20 since 07.

Fact: LSU has played 3 OOC top 20 teams.

Fact: Bama has played 1 East SEC top 20 team since 07 in the regular season..

Fact: LSU played a team from the East ranked in the top 20 5 times in the regular season.

So basically to pacify the SEC network the provision about playing one strong non conf opponent from other BCS conferences was required - SEC would have been better off with the 9 game conf schedule. SEC office will help in assisting scheduling of these games - oh really! LSU doesn't need anymore help with their schedule Slive. The race is on to procure the weakest BCS teams they can find. I'm sure the SEC will help LSU schedule Fla St and other top opponents.

This is great. Alabama can renew their long standing rivalry with Indiana every year. and LSU can renew their historic rivalry with Ohio State.

Penn State? VT? Crap, they almost had a losing season a couple years ago with Logan Thomas. But they've got those teams out of the way so eventually, one would think, they'd have to play someone "of weight."

You do realize these games are scheduled a few years in advance typically right? It isn't always easy to predict the future and know who is going to be undefeated 4 years from now. Penn State and Virginia Tech (Alabama opponents) aren't exactly shitty football programs.
