The LSUAD apparently does many stupid things for "No Solid Reason." Way too many walking and talking over-inflated ego's employed there with too much time on their hands and not enough to do. "Hey, let's fix aomething that's not broken."

Any 15 year old with audio software that had access to the multi-track audio from both videos could do it in an afternoon since the video is already in place and all audio is recorded. The only issue would be one of pacing since the new video is quite a bit longer. There would be larger gaps than the original one, but no huge obstacle.

Unfortunately, LSU tends to be either completely obstinate or entirely tone-deaf when it comes to the fan reaction to the stuff they produce like this...so I'd guess that even if they DID see these complaints/concerns they'd chalk it up to malcontents and keep what they made.
