I wish they would go back to the shorter stripe on the shoulder
No way. The longer, angled at the bottom stripe looks much better, IMO.

There's also this graphic in the media guide:

It would be cool if they used the numbers on the helmets like '58-'64 for one game. I'm loving the updated Logo on the helmet though.
I wonder if they are going to have a Nike pro-combat game this year.

It looks OK on the front of the jersey but the back looks funky

I wouldn't doubt seeing an all white uniform this year. I think a lot of the younger guys have been wanting to wear that.

no one other than LSU fans will even notice the difference in the new tiger logo. honestly, it looks better. essentially the same logo, just a much cleaner look

God I hope not.
I still think we need a few tweaks to make the uni PERFECT:
- Match the shades of purple between the helmet and rest of the uni
- Fix the pant striping to match the shoulder and helmet striping
- Change the helmet font to the Geaux font

if it's just for one game, i completely disagree. these would look so sharp for a big night game in tiger stadium, much better than the pro combats. if they use the same template of our regular uniforms and just make everything white, i think they'd look great

gtfo, that would look awful.

I agree. Very good point, especially the mismatching purples. I'm surprised they haven't fixed this issue yet.

I disagree. The geaux font was designed to be on a straight line not an arch.

All white tigers for one game would be cool. I love that rendering done with Trindon.

The purples are actually pretty similar, it's just that the purple shows off better on fabric than on the gold helmets.

How so? The font is very close to what's on the helmet now. The "S" and "U" would have slight curves on the edges while the "L" would lose the serifs. But it wouldn't be much different at all. I would say that most people wouldn't notice the difference just as they won't notice much difference with the tiger logo.

I actually LOVED both procombats we did...personally, I wouldn't want to see just a whiteout version of the current unis. It wouldn't look bad, I would just prefer to see a one-off uni with a little more meaning behind it.

the shades of purple and gold on the uniforms have changed a bunch of times over the years, and a lot of it has to do with the materials of uniforms changing, making colors appear differently. the helmets being a different material than the jersey also has to do with the colors appearing differently. this is also not just an lsu thing.
Tennessee:
Florida
Mississippi State
Kentucky:
Auburn (stripe on helmet appears lighter than jersey stripe)

don't get me wrong, i loved our last pro combats as well, think they were better than most the other pro combtas other teams have worn, but i still would have prefered that if we wore a one game uniform like that, they'd keep our same uniform template and just change the base colors

Mismatched shades are a common problem with uniforms at all levels. Typically, it's the helmet versus the fabric - so it's definitely an issue of the medium in which the color is being displayed.

it would be much easier to spot the difference
disregarding the eye of the tiger logo
