New DC and PC/OC this week?

LSU may be in a corner relative to the OC position. How many Joe Brady's are out there. I think that E will gracefully step aside in favor of the new OC.

The concepts and route trees are in place for Coach E and whoever is included in the staff. I really hope they build off of that and keep the aggressive nature we showed on early downs. There is a whole years worth of work to model our offense after, I don’t want to see any changes at all.

Very funny! Stupid? Not hardly.

What do you mean there’s not many Joe Brady’s out there? There are thousands of people that can run a spread. Joe Brady didn’t invent the spread he brought concepts from the NOLA saints. The Saints weren’t the first team to use a spread either. The Joe Brady replacement will have an abundance of weapons to work with.

That’s not even remotely how football is played. Just because you have a playbook doesn’t mean it leads to execution.
We need a co-oc or a oc that is young and innovative.

That’s like saying thousands of people can play QB

It's amazing that some believe you can put the new playbook in Ensminger's hands and that the offense won't miss much of a beat.
Brady was continuously implementing new concepts, plays, and worked directly with the WRs on route running, timing with the QBs, rhythm, etc.
The offense looked the way it did because of Brady's on the field coaching. It didn't matter who was calling the plays.

Gee, thanks for the heads up. Hence why I said “whoever else is on staff.” Wanting to keep the same concepts does not equal expecting the same exact production.

It’s also amazing how many on here lack reading comprehension. I didn’t remotely insinuate what you said.

I didn't explicitly say that you did.
Others on here certainly have.

You aren’t going to get very many candidates to come in and play second fiddle with E.
You either make them Co-OC but even then I think OC in waiting. I don’t think we can realistically continue with the whole passing game coordinator (position coach), maybe E is calling plays maybe he isn’t charade.
Would love for slinger to stay on staff but literally I think his time should be up if not now next year for a young innovative offensive coodinator.
O was too terrified to go outside his bubble after Canada. Amazing how many people forgot that, he’s going to have to do it again.

You'll likely get downvoted but you're not wrong.
Keeping Ensminger at OC, but at the same time wanting a talented offensive mind to come in and run the passing offense as an assistant isn't viable in the long term.
No one talented enough to produce the results we want is going to come in and serve as an assistant. And if they do, they'll be gone just as quickly as Brady.

I hope E returns as well!!! I just think that there is more value with a potential OC than a passing game coordinator from bfe.
I think that LSU is where it's at now and potentially going forward. This equals a hell of interest from coast to coast that could evolved into an awkward situation.
The good news is that E knows this.
