VTs SOS is 50 higher than Stanford. So why do they catch shite and Stanford gets a pass?

They don't. They are lower than VT in the computer rankings I believe. Without a game this Saturday, they have zero chance at all. They're where they are because of all the losses last weekend.

Stanford should be in at #3 IMO.
Stanford, Oregon and USC are all tough teams this year.

Back to the original thread: Noted only the AP gave bama all the second place votes: the press is unanimous; the coaches are not. Wonder if the few non-second votes for bama came from Va. Tech, Stanford, OKST?

Gundy at Okie State does not have a vote this season - the other two do.

Okie State has played 1 less game than the ones ranked above them. If they have a quality win over Oklahoma that will all change. Remember, the voters will be watching a lot of teams this week end and none will see Alabama. Things can change.

The thought is that VT will take some 3rd (maybe 2nd?) place votes from OSU, when OSU would need all it can get to jump Bama.

I do wonder if VT AND OSU might jump Bama in some of the submitted ballots if they both win, in which case that could actually help OSU. More than likely though, they would mostly split 3rd and 4th votes, solidifying Bama at 2.

frick the rankings, the talking heads and Oklahoma State. I'm so sick of this BS. Vote Alabama in for all I care. They will not beat us in New Orleans.

It is quite clear in both the coaches and Harris Polls that the pro Bama voters are intentionally putting the 3,4, and 5 teams significantly behind. It's actually pretty pathetic, but this is honestly what I feared this type of situation would bring.

Va Tech has absolutely no shot at the NC. None. They'd likely have to be a unanimous #2 and have Bama lower than #9 to get in. It's just not happening.

Stanford also has no shot.

OSU is literally the only team that has a shot, and you can tell Bama (Saban's vote) and others are sandbagging the Cowboys. At least those voters have the decency to put Bama in the top 4.

there is no way for those 3 teams at 3,4,5 to be so low unless people are voting them in the upper teens or worse in several polls. At least the AP is showing some shred of credibility.

LSU gained 284 pts in the coaches' and 415 in the Harris over the last weekend in 2007. It sent them to the NC.

UGA and KU got jumped while not playing. They didn't win their division or conference.

Everybody sucks off Lil Nicky so Bama has that going for them.

A fixed vote. Before the ESPN altar. First genuflect and then vote Alabama # 2. What a bunch of "Bull".

It appears the AP poll is pushing for Okie state LSU, but the Harris and Coach's are pulling for the Rematch, To bad the AP poll has nothing to do with the BCS.

See yall in NOLA Gumps

I just watched the Roll Tide/War Eagle show again. I want to beat those rednecks senseless in Tiger Stadium south to shut them the frick up for good. I say bring it on. LSU won't be losing this year and the margin will be much bigger in January in LSU's favor. frick Alabama and the horse they rode in on.
