The new rules to shorten the game are absolute BS. They did not shorten the game at all; they only added more commercials at the expense of less plays. I read that there were over 100 commercials in the last night's broadcast. If this is the norm than the college game will lose me.

Just more ad revenue for the network. Always pisses me off when team makes a big play that can switch momentum and telecast breaks to commercial while players stand around on the field for 10 minute waiting for break to end instead of continuation of play and building on momentum from a big play.
