Again, just admit you were ignorant to what the signing bonus slots were/are. You're now crawfishing hoping your initial argument still holds up. Had Beckwith fallen to the 3rd day of the draft or had he been a lock for a top 20 pick, then yes we could have this talk.

WTF are you talking about ?

$750k is $200k more than his entire paycheck in 2018 and more than he's slated to make in 2019.

I can't believe I'm having to argue that $750k is a lot of money.

because it isn't

Here's the thing, this debate is talking about risk/reward right? Was it worth the risk to come back if we're talking about a difference of $750k (in Beckwith's case). $750k, comparatively speaking is nothing compared to what his signing bonus would have been had he played his way into a top 20 pick, where his guaranteed money would have been in the realm of $8.5MM.

So putting it in that context, you know the context of this thread, no $750k is not very much money. But why don't you tell me about all the other nonsense about injuries affecting being able to sign long-term contracts. I'm sure Tyrann Mathieu would like a word given he signed the largest safety contract in league history AFTER tearing his ACL.

Which means he has far more to lose. His draft stock isn't getting higher if he comes back

All of this kind of hinges on the injury. Beck with had a pretty severe injury, and we honestly don’t know how much he “fell” due to that injury. It also happened late in the season. Would you say that injury + timing is about as worst case of a scenario as you could reasonably imagine?

I’m rambling, but I’m just not sure how much White will actually fall if he were to suffer an injury as severe as an ACL. It’s recovery time has been reduced to the point where he might not ever miss a snap in the NFL. I’m also not sure it will affect future contracts, as many people in the league earn top dollar for their positions that have had the injury in the past.

Imo beckwith made the right decision coming back he was not a 1st round lock and came back to secure a 1st round grade, he almost got it. Imo he made the correct gamble.

Now tre white made the right decision coming back he was not a 1st round grade and maybe, MAYBE! Could have slipped in the back of the 2nd round maybe early 3rd round his Jr year. He came back secured his 1st round grade and made big money his first payday, now will make even more his 2nd pay day if he stays healthy.

Imo hunter made the right decision leaving early he was not getting utilized correctly and felt he needed to get out and make some money. It was not really a wrong decision bc he did not get injured his 1st few years in the league and made it to his 2nd contract and his got paid, it just took a little longer. If aranda was here it would have been a bad decision he came back for sr year he would have been a sure fire 2nd round pick more then likely a 1st round top 15 pick. He would have been paid for his rookie contract and this year be making even more with a new deal.

Now long winded and shitty grammer I came to say this. No one should pressure D white into stay back. He is a 1st round talent he has peaked out at college level. He will be making a minimum $13,000,000 as a top 15 pick and $11,000,000 as a top 25 pick. He gets injured he gets a shitty insurance pay out. He deserves every penny he can get. I would love him to come back but he could at worse be in a ben wilkerson's situation, blown out knee never to play again from a shitty chop block and collect a yearly bit of insurance money that will get smaller as he gets healthier after a injury. He could have a amazing senior year win a NC move into a top 10 or 5 draft pick and sign for about $18,000,000. But if I'm his dad, if I'm his family, if I'm his friend, I tell him to start training for combine, or maybe rest on his laurels stay healthy sont participate in combine, I am not a agent or know the best way to go at a premium new nfl position of a sideline to sideline fast af MLB. W
Either way u
I would say go get paid in the nfl..

I just dont see the benefit to him of coming back, I would love it for him to come back but honestly every game every big hit I will be pretty worried.

This guy should do great no matter what he desires
