I don't why people think that the false patriotism displayed by the NFL and others is somehow real? It's not a military funeral or memorial service? It's a paid event that some huckster thought wrapping the flag in would help sell some tickets...

The wars we have fought (well most of them anyway) were to protect our freedoms. The fact that I or anyone else can critique the policy, politicians etc without being imprisoned or murdered is what makes us great.

Now I did think that kaepernack was just attention whoring because he had dropped off the radar screen, but maybe he has real concerns. It's not how I would try to help that issue, but as long as it is peaceful and legal, I really don't care what other people do.

It is a former Lsu player playing sports, and making it political. NFL is a sport. This bs is driving a major decline in popularity. I live it. Let these idiots continue on this path.

Pssst...the ratings aren't falling because of players kneeling.

Also, being patriotic has ZERO to do with a flag or some stupid song. Being patriotic has A LOT to do with how you treat your fellow Americans. All of them.

Actually, the NFL had been trending down for a while at a very small pace. Do your research and you will see that the down trend actually took a huge drop around the time of Kaepernick starting all of this and has not recovered or slowed since. You're welcome

What's "liberals" got to do with anything? You're just falling back on shitty, tired memes because you actually haven't defended your position well at all. You're up in arms about something but "blind subservience" and a very silly definition of "respect" are your sword & shield.

If you're so vested in regalia, symbolism, pomp & circumstance...then link me to the thread where you are ABSOLUTELY LIVID at the multiple recent demonstrations around the country where Nazi ideals have been espoused by Americans(!!!) wearing Nazi garb.

My guess? No such thread exists.

LOL

You need to do some reading, friend, to see the demographics of who is actually not watching.

Umm...their protest has merit.

Facts please.

Hint: you won't provide them, because the facts don't support your position.

The protests largely center around the divisiveness between the African-American community and perceived feelings of police brutality.

Data suggests this demographic is overly targeted & that police brutality continues to be an issue.

I mean, I ain't gonna do your homework for you but it's not too terribly difficult to figure out.
